In the 50's again here today - windows were opened again - aaaahhhh fresh air. But why is there still over a foot of snow in the front yard?

I am so excited by the wonderful news about Elizabeth Smart! I just finished watching a couple differnt news programs about her. I can't imagine what it would be like for that poor family and for Elizabeth to go through these last 9 months.

Eric, in case you don't know about the case, the young girl was kidnapped from her home in Utah 9 months ago. She was found today by 2 "angels" who spotted the man police had been looking for. They found her alive and well and she has been reunited with her family!

Happy Birthday Tina from the Tuli's!

I was happy to hear the news too, Mary, about Elizabeth Smart. Many questions still to be answered with this case.

A Pre-Cruisetoberfest DIS meet in NYC.... with Tulirose as a guide?? Think again folks. I'll have us going in circles. Tulirich knows the city much better than me but he is a *true* New Yorker. (Heck, he was born at New York Hospital). But what I mean when I say *true* NY'er can best be explained by the following:

Eary January 2002 - holiday decorations still around - Rockefeller Center - Admiring tree - Approached by a gentleman who greets us nicely. Tulirich barks at him: GO AWAY!! The guys actually literally jumped and backed quickly away from us.

Turns out because of this, we missed out on some promotional opportunity being put out by the Rockefeller Center management!

Now, you guys who met Rich know that he is really not mean and vicious. He really is a sweetie pie! :D

I didn't bark at him-- I just talk loud. I am not a night person, and I get a little grumpy.

Eric Have you been to Baden Baden? My Mother's Family came from there. There was an articule about a spa located there in the NY Post the other day.

I walked past the World Trade center site today. There seems to be some building going on. I think a transportation hub is being constructed.

Twinave & RellingTwin As you know I am a twin also. I am wondering if there are any other twins going??

Tulirich, I did NOT know you are a twin. Does your sis or brother live close by? We need to start our own page, "Twins Cruising". Boy wouldn't we get some bizzare e-mail! LOL
    Later, Ave'

Ave - Rich is heading off to bed but he asked me to write you the following:

"You want to start ANOTHER thread!? I can't even keep up with this one!"

Richard has a twin brother who never lets him forget that he is 3 minutes older than Rich. He does live nearby.

Richard, BTW, is the more handsome twin! :D ;)

Also, Tulirich just came back and told me to tell you the following story:

Years ago, Tulirich and his brother went some place and our son was about four years old then and accompanied them. Some one who knew DH and DB-I-L asked Richie, "how can you tell who is who?" Richie answered, "It's easy! That's daddy (points to his father) and that's Uncle Tommy! (points to his uncle). It was never an issue with him.

    Going to bed now. Goodnight!

Well gang, I did not win the HGTV Dream Home! Bummer! But it looks like a nice couple from Penn. did win!Congraulations to them and their family!

Rich, when Ave DD was about 9 mo old I came over to babysit. She was asleep when I got there and when she woke up we played and fed her, and then took her for a walk in the stroller. When we got back, Ave was home. I wheeled the stroller into the laundry room (where Ave was doing a load of laundry) and DD looked at her mommy, then turned around to look at me...then did it again...The started to CRY! A confused 9 mo old!

My children thought that everyone has an Aunt who looked just like Mommy. "What's so stange about that?"Living across the street from each other had it's funny moments! The poor mailman, I don't think he EVER figured it out. I moved to SC and Ave moved from her house, across the street into my house. I think it put the poor man over the edge:p

Mary here is the Catfish link: Catfish out of water click on the go fishing and Stacey's design is on the 3rd page #106 it is the first catfish that looks like a holstein cow. It is called farmed raised. We are going tomorrow to pick up her fish in my pickup truck. It is seven feet long and made out of fiberglass. I will take a picture of it in the truck and show everyone what size fish we raise here in the south:bounce: When she gets it finished I will take some more pictures to let you know where in Nashville it will be placed. Rich,
I've been to Baden Baden only once when I was a paramedic and we took a patient to a local clinic. Baden Baden has lots of them, and myriads of recreational clinics. There are als minaeral springs and a large casino. They also usually have very fair weather there. If I shall bring any info for you, just tell me. But I will give it to you only when it's light outside - I heard that you turn into a werewolf when it's dark :jester:

Thanks for all the Trading Spaces info. I must have a look at BBC, which is fed into our local cable. Perhaps they show the British version. BBC shares the channel with VH1: It's BBC during day and VH1 during night.

    Mary,
I checked out a couple of German routeplaners and only found a town called "Rellingen". But I've got a the Shell-Map-Collection at home and can check it further.

:Pinkbounc Elizabeth Smart was found!:Pinkbounc THANK GOD!

Was that not great news or what. I am sooooooooooo thankful.

 General ? about the logos for both the Cruise, and the ScavengEAR Hunt. My idea was that they be just for fun and an added litle souvenior (sp). Not too fussy, so they can be reduced for kidos sizes. Not too commercial, so that we won't get iinto trouble with copyright stuff. Just your thoughts while I keep working on them ... Thanks!

TONITE ... Survivor, CSI & Without a Trace --- gonna be parked in front of the TV doing some crafts.

    Have a very Mickey Day

Bette -- I feel for you. It is sunny here though and it's supposed to get up to 12C (sorry can't convert at the moment) on Sunday. I don't think we have any more snow in the forecast but we have enough here to melt that it will be weeks before we see the ground.

Tina -- happy belated birthday -- missed saying it for some reason.

Cathy -- loved the logos. Agree with the change from #2 to II.

Hoping to leave early today -- just waiting for one more deal to close and that should be any time. I'd like to actually see my DS tonight before he goes to work -- he's worked the last 2 nights and I hear him come in but didn't actually see him last night. Alas they didn't order pizza again last night so no hope of leftovers for this morning.

Thought that it was wonderful and unbelievable news about Elizabeth Smart. Hopefully she is going to be ok.

    Hope everyone is well.

Graff at the Southernmost Scavenger Hunt was thinking that we could use their header and "Pinky". If you go to their website, it's their logo in the upper left hand corner. Pinky is actually in one of the pictures.
