I realllllllllly can't believe our weather forecast for the weekend. It's a 4 letter word that starts with S ... and I don't mean Sun!

Mike ... No black jelly beas for AshLee yet. She is still playing "queen of the mountain" when she goes potty on the 3 ft high pile of snow out front. I have a full sized Nittany Lion statue on a pedestal out there and I can't see even the tips of the ears!

We interrupt this day-dream for work ...........

I just hope that word ends on "now" and not on "hit" :jester:
What about Art? Doesn't he have a shuffle? ;)

Mike,
we know how to behave ;) we would talk English as long as were in your presence.
But when are out of reach we'll start pointing at you and giggling :jester:
This one thing I also detest: Foreigners in my country talking in their language when I'm present

Eric hope that everyone coming across the pond has a good flight. Just for fun tell Roland that they strip search every 4th person in line before they board:teeth:

Cathy all of the grass is brown around here, but none of that four letter word stuff in the forecast yet.

Mary hope that all is well over on the coast.

The kids just called and ask me to babysit while they go to the dentist. Think I ought to charge them???? I am just glad that I have to time to keep her and watch her go.

Rosemary I heard that everyone on deck two is going to get their own special key to the secret lounge
:smooth: :jester: ;) isn't that special? Mike

We are under 220 daysWAHOO Ok I know this it is not polite to yell on the internet, but I couldn't help it. Mike

I'm happy :bounce: !!!

The time is flying by... NOT! I'm sure once we get out of this snowy winter and there might be some hope of spring, it will seem closer. One day it willl be our turn, but until then we can chat and plan.

Plan? any others for the scavengEar Hunt?

Tina :)

HI DAN:

ARLENE

Dan,

Are you trying to put all those people in a general area in the restaurants or at large tables?

Tipping?, never heard of it. Do people tip the Scavenger Hunt organizer (that's me!)? I don't think so. ha ha ha

Tina

Arlene,

Did I ask you if you wanted to join us for the Scavenger Hunt in Key West? You see all the sights, but in a wacky way. We have 52 people signed up!

Tina :)

Tina,

My hopes are that we will be placed on the same rotation and in the same area if not the same tables. Cathy McConnell (DREAMS) is checking this out for us.

Would you like to join us?

Dan

Dan,

I'm like Rosemary who felt like a wet blanket about the scvanager hunt. I would like to link my dinner reservations with everyone, but since we have such a wide group of people with either no children or with children of various ages what rotation are we going to be in. I don't mind being with the DIS group children, but I don't want to be stuck in a room full of little kids I think there rotation which is usually PLAPLAP. I would prefer to be in either a rotation with adults or older children. Please don't flame me for this. Once you get my age you will understand. But I just spent a weekend in a hotel with a large group of squirt age and peewee age children. Give me the college age kids any day. I think it is where you are at in your life at any given time.

Thanks,
Nancy

MaryJo:

Ask you school administrator to chill. Sarah will report back to classes about the life of ancient mayan culture, the habitat of stingrays, and the life story of Hemmingway...lol.

Doug

Nancy,
I second your motion - Although I like kids, during dinner in star-rated-restaurant (And I consider the ship's restaurant belonging in that category) I also like a relaxed atmosphere in which a quiet conversation is possible ;)
But usually the couples with smaller kids prefer the early seating anyway. And the older kids we had contact with - Like Mary's- were absolutely nice.
Last time we had LAPLAPL (Correct me CheesePlease and @ GoofyNut if I'm wrong) and I liked it. But I would also like a rotation, which would place us at Parrot Cay for the tropical night and Lumiere's or AP for the formal night.
And we think of skipping Palo's completely because we weren't really satisfied with it the last time. So we'll be a constant factor at our table ;)

And finally there's another thought looming up in the back of my head: It may be that we already are in the danger of overplanning the whole thing (Hear, Hear: A German talking about overplanning :jester: ) and thus eliminating the element of surprise totally. - Just a thought of mine - what does the group think about it?

dan,

It's a little complicated since we are travelling with another couple. They haven't "official" booked, yet, so I have to pass this by them and also the Palo's Brunch. I'll let you know.

When hubby and I cruised in the past, we always have gotten the LAP rotation and late seating. Married couple with no kids. There are kids on that rotation, but I guess not as many. I don't mind. I love kids!

tina :)

99.9% of the time people without children are on the LAPLAPL rotation. Kathy and I have been on 3 7day Disney cruises and this is the rotation thus far for us. Mike

Like papa and Kathy, Scott and I have always had LAPLAPL and we love this rotation!

Let me know what you guys think, we can abandon the idea totally.

Dan

Just got back from AAA. We are now booked for our January cruise, we got a Cat 10, Secret porthole room.

So now we have September, October and January cruises booked. No plans to book anymore for a while.

Dan

So far it looks like MaryJo, Ave and I are the only ones with kids on the Late seating. Ave and I already have our dinning "Linked " together so we are at the same table. We really do not want anymore at our table for a few reasons.
1) Sometimes the kids can be a bit much. It is an exciting trip for them and they are usually well behaved BUT...I would hate to worry we are disturbing anyone else.
2) Last year we sat at a 10 top, and it seemed we were the LAST to be served EVERYNIGHT! While I do not wish to rush through dinner, the wait was hard on the kids. We figured we "Might" be a little better off with 8 instead of 10.

However...it WOULD be fun to see our friends sitting nearby. Last year we had APLAPLA and liked it very much. That put us in A and L for formal nights, and P for Tropical night.

If all this works out...fine...if not that is fine also. Dan thank you for your efforts! We sure do 'pricate it :p

:Pinkbounc Everybody CHILL :Pinkbounc The last few pages seem to look like we're starting to sweat over THE SMALL STUFF.
I'm not sure if it's cabin fever or what but RELAX. My idea is that this board is for us to get helpful hints and to get to know others before we cruise .... it's still working as far as I can tell. Some of us are just volunteering to do some things to try and make it a really special time for anyone that WANTS to participate. If it ain't broke don't fix it. (OK, I have stepped off my soap box now).

Guess I'm a little stressed with work ... we are trying to help 2 other offices that are severly understaffed. Now one of the girls in our office has been having a lot of awful things happen in her life and it's gotten the best of her. I feel so bad for her cause they have her hospitalized and she is a reallllllly nice person. Funny thing is that we spent a week together in the hospital with some medical problems about 2 years ago and got to know each other (no choise, we were a captive audience). She ended up getting a job with me 6 months later. So that makes our office one person down now .... The heck with Calgon, DISNEY TAKE ME AWAY!

I've tried to change the clipart in my signature but not sure if I did it right ... If not - HELP MIKE! (I'm a little techy challenged)

Nancy ... How is Norm doing?

Eric ... Art said to tell you he has a lot of "shuffles" and even a motorized blower BUT enough is enough with the snow. Tell Anja we wish her luck with being short-handed at work too.

Ave - Mary ... So the kids eat the soft parts out of the dinner rolls. It makes for a funny memory!

Dan ... When will you be handing out your "tip envelopes"? At the end of the cruise when everyone else does ... hehehe.

:bounce: Great News, today I actually spoke with MaryJo and we made arrangements to have a "lunch DIS meet" in 2 weeks. I am so excited and have already started to collect pictures of some of the gang so she can put a face with a name.

Well gotta run ..........

Have a very Mickey evening.
