We will not be in cruise chat tonight as we are going to a party to celebrate one of the ladies that Kathy works with last radiation treatment today for cancer.

Amazing -- had a busy afternoon and wasn't able to log in til now and I had to read 4 pages to catch up.

Have more work to do before I can leave but decided to check in anyway.

I like the idea of the ears for the scavenger hunt.

To all:

I talked to Cathy McConnel today from DREAMS. She said if someone could get everyones DREAMS reservation number, she would personally call the dining co-ordinator and set this up. We can also do one group early and one group late. Seeing that I have already spoke to Cathy about this I will volunteer to co-ordinate this effort!

If you wish to dine in a group during dinner, please PM me your DREAMS reservation number and what seating you have I will get this ready and email Cathy back.

Let me know what you guys think.

What a day!!!! A patient came in for a pregnancy test and it was positive!This will be her 13th BABY!She refuses any birth control! We knew we would see her again, but hoped it would be a little longer (her last baby is only 4 mo old!)She is only 32 years old, and has NO TEETH! Her hubby is disabled and out of work!The doc told her last time she is risking serious problems if she was to get pregnant again. OY VAY!!!!

Don't know if we can be seated with all of you guys or not (we are DVC members and booked through them) but would you ask Cathy to see if this is possible (there is just 3 of us!) and we are on late seating--I have a feeling that if we don't get in on this group, we may be eating with the crew!! My reservation number is at work and I can email it to you tomorrow. Don't know if it is possible for the DU rep to do this or if I should go directly through DVC but maybe Cathy could tell us.

Told my husband about the scavenger hunt in Key West (he never cares what we do, he just shows up and pays the bill!) but he told me to warn papa, Eric and Dan that he is a speed demon and was stopped for speeding in the Petrified Forest in Arizona (where all that is there is dead wood!!) Caught going 65 in a 35 mile "forest"! It was only quick thinking on my part that got him out of the ticket (a friend of ours was in law enforcement at the Petrified Forest and had already transferred out of there when we got there (wonder if he knew we were coming) and I name dropped and voila--no ticket!!

Well...Hi everyone, this is Graff from the Southernmost Scavenger Hunt. It's exciting to see everyone is already talking about the cruise and this hunt. It will be a great event for everyone. Feel free to ask any questions and thanks to Tina for all her hard work so far setting this up!

It's also good to know we received an outstanding compliment from the Chamber of Commerce, that's always a good thing!!

I actually called the Key West Chamber of Commerce and they are just fine. Actually, outstanding. They've been in business for about 1 1/2 years. They do private groups for big corporations, wedding, groups like ours and straglers at a set time everyday.

You had asked about DVC members and if they can be linked and they absolutely can! I just need the confirmation numbers. I can't promise to get everyone together, and can't check with the Dining Co-Ordinator until Mon., but I promise to do the best I can!

[Scavenger Hunter]

Yes, and No! The electric cars tend to sell out very quickly due to the fact that they are very popular with the cruise ships and toursit in general. They are often less likely to give a group rate because they will sell them at the full price. We use them a lot for the hunts (sometimes 20+ at a time) and still don't get a huge discount plus we then have to add an additional delivery fee, liability insurance etc.

You really won't need one for the hunt we're setting up for you. From one end of town (where you depart) to the other end (southernmost point) it's about a mile. If you plan it right you shouldn't have to go too much further than there and back...plus you'll have enough time to do it leisurely. There's also the option of cabs and pedicabs which you can grab anytime. The cars are kinda expensive...but very FUN!

By the way guys...it's a very hot and humid 85 degrees today..phew...i'm off for a swim and a PIna Colda!!

If anyone is watching CBS Star Search, the girl singer (Denise Hudson) lives about 10 miles from us--don't normally watch Star Search but whenever she is on we try to catch this part of the show!

Does anyone watch (or admit to watching) Trading Spaces? The one carpenter (Amy Wynn) is going to be at a local mall on March 15th!

Graff (aka Scavanger hunter) someone had posted about using the trolley (I think) or the tour bus that you can get on and off, is this a possibility or not (in order to save some money to shop!)--thought hunt was longer than one mile and I just tore a ligament in my knee which was arthritic to begin with so I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone because we want to find Pinky and win and bring the trophy home to PA! Only kidding!! Can we do the Hemingway house while we are doing the hunt or are we on a time limit?

thanks for telling us how nice and warm it is in KW--we are freezing in Pennsylvania and would love to send some of our accumulated total of 84 inches of snow this season down to you so it might melt before summer gets here!! Can't wait for the hunt (and the cars do sound like fun!!)

Dan... we are going to try and get to see Amy--I love TS--watch While you were out but really can't get into it. We also like Geneve; Vern and Lori (I love the fabrics that she uses)--not too crazy about Hildi--some of her ideas are a little out there (especially the room with the pepto bismo pink walls and hay!!) If she's giving autographs, we'll get one for you!!

Lets seriously talk about a PA/OH meet. think it would be great!!
