Nancy--- We booked through DVC also and got our excursion info yesterday. It should be coming your way soon.

Glad to hear the good report on the Atlantis sub since that's one of the things Don and I want to sign up for.

I just booked our shore excursions. Called back and got someone else and she said today is the day. She said the first person I talked to must have been going by the date at which cruise cancellation penalties start, and not looking at the little chart they have for booking excursions.

So, if you got turned down for making yours, try calling back.

We haven't received anything yet about the excursions in the mail but I was going to fax in the form tonight. We are doing the Tulum ruins and the Grand Cayman Island Tour. Jim doesn't want to do anything that involves water so the StingRays were out.
Oh well gives us a reason to go back.

Chris 'graduates' on Friday at 1pm so we are going back up to see the ceremony. He then leaves for Petawawa on Saturday morning so he's not home for the weekend although he told me last night that we are bringing home some of his stuff that he won't need like shampoo. He'll be a week at Petawawa but no showers!! Home for good on the 24th and then back to school on the 2nd of September.

I was looking at the calendar and there really aren't that many weekends left before the cruise where we don't have anything booked.

Ellentown isn't far from where we live, it's about 20 minutes south of us. However, Sanibel and Captiva are about 2 hours south of that. So from Indian Rocks, I would give 2 1/2 hours to get to Sanibel roughly, maybe a bit less. The biggest reason is, it's easy to get to Fort Meyers, but then taking local highways to the causeway and bridge to Sanibel.

Just a warning, there's not much is quick eats along the beaches (go to the lighthouse/ boatmans beach the shelling is phenomanal there), so bring a cooler and stuff along with you. Ft Meyers is also the start of the coconut line so you can find them laying along the roads and such.

Perhaps we can exchange phonenumbers-we'll have a cellphone with us.
Food is usually no issue for us at the beach: We have breakfast and over the day we normally just have some fruit and then a light dinner. Quick eats we try to avoid as far as possible.

We're heading up this weekend for some RnR. We're also heading up the weekend after we get back from the cruise for 4 days to do the food and wine festival. If anyone hasn't done this, it is an absolute must do,e specially since they have gone back to the all out version of the festival, not the tone down one they had after 9/11. (Still a very freaky experience going to WDW the week after 9/11. Never saw MK so empty, we rode teacups with no wait. Freaky

The only thing we booked for Castaway Cay was the parasailing.

I faxed the request for the Bottom Fishing At Castaway Cay but got a fax back that said they could not make a reservation at this time because the fishing is not available "at this time". The fax suggested I check back for availablity.
We are doing Capt. Marvin at Grand Cayman, and have booked Eagle Ray Divers for a dive/snorkel trip in Cozumel. And let us not forget the ScavangEAR Hunt in KW!

We're going to be booking our excursions tomorrow morning. We decided to go with the Cozumel Beach Break, and parasailing for Chris at Castaway Cay. Then, we're going on the hunt in Key West and we're waiting on Grand Cayman until I get an email back from Capt. Marvin's. We're thinking about going, but I need to find out if Emily can go too. I really don't feel right about leaving her on the ship, while we are out in port. They're website says 4 & under are free, so I'm guessing that she can go, but I want to make sure.

Urrgghh - What a rough week so far!?!?!?

First, the rain here has been unbelievable. Today was the first day that it finally let up. We have major flooding issues in our backyard & pool area. Anyway, the rain was so hard and fast that the backyard started to flood into the pool. Well, that led to the pool turning a dark green/brown. And, to top it off, Chris was at his mom's, so I had to deal with it, so it wouldn't go into the house. I would say that I probably let 10 inches out of the pool over the course of the weekend.

Then, I've been apt hunting with my mom and at one place I fell off the last step (while holding onto Emily) and landed straight onto my one knee. Well, now I have a HUGE bruise on my kneecap and it is so tender. Luckily, I had a good grip on Emily and she's perfectly fine.

And then today, I received a bridesmaid's dress in the mail for my brother's upcoming wedding at the end of Sept. Well, the bride decided to get a sleeveless dress, and I'm no small girl. And, let's just say that I certainly won't be too excited to wear that dress. But, it has kicked me into eating better and promising to get up early to exercise.

Well, I'm going to bed now, so that I can actually get up early. Sweet dreams to everyone!!!

Last time some tried to dunk Gaby they got a broken nose so I keep well away from that........... ut then again I think you are talking about Eric.....

For those who might want to go parasailing, you better call soon. They were almost completely booked up from 10:30 to 2:30. Chris got one of the last spots.

Now, I gotta go look for t-shirts for the CruisetoberfestII logo. And, I'm trying to figure out what to bring for everyone from FL. Since everyone's already coming here on vacation, it's kinda tough to think of something unique. Oh well, I'll keep working on it.
