Missed yesterday as busy day at work. Glad to hear that you had a great anniversary Eric and breaking the rules once in a while is a good thing!
Jim has been feeling off, off and on since before we went to Baltimore. Finally got him to go to the doctor on Monday and he went for blood tests yesterday and has to arrange for a heart moniter for 24 hours today. He calls today to see when he can get it and then he's back to the doctor next week. Hopefully it's not serious. Doctor said it might be his thyroid or hormones too so we'll see. Told him it's because we are planning on going on vacation -- 6 weeks before our April 2002 trip to WDW he decided to have his appendix out. It burst and he didn't have a choice of course but his timing wasn't great. He went but was uncomfortable.
Work is really busy, mostly because people keep going on vacation! Next week is going to be a wasteland at work with so many people away but in some ways it's kinda nice. I should be ok but then I can type and use the fax machine and photocopier. Over the years I'm not sure how many lawyers I've shown how to use the photocopier!!
Must go and get ready for work. It will be a long day today and I'm not in tomorrow and my secretary is away next week so today we have to get everything together while doing the regular work.
It's very humid here and is supposed to remain that way for the rest of the week. I'd almost forgotten how really awful humidity can be.
Eric -- The lawyer that went to the Formula One race in Germany when asked how it was can only say -- Germany was hot, hot, hot and you know they don't have a/c!
One of the clerks was in England last week and she said that she packed all wrong -- she took pants because her SIL said it was cool -- nope it was hot, hot, hot.
Glad that's its going to cool down somewhat for you though.

I know exactly what you mean Sue Ellen. Since Emily will have just turned 2, we were very limited, and I just wasn't completely secure leaving Emily on the ship while we "played". So, all of our excursions are "Emily-friendly".

We are going to meet on Sunday, October 12th, 2003 at 1PM in front of the stairs to the Hilton Hotel Lobby. It's to the right of the red brick building (Custom House) as you leave the ship. The Magic usually docks in front of the Hilton Hotel. The hunt lasts from 1 PM to 4 PM. Remember to wear your ScavengEar t-shirts designed by @GoofyNut.
NOTE: The location may be moved since we are a large group. They'll let us know the exact start location and check in time closer to the event.
*Electric Cart?
If one needs an electric cart, the scavenger hunt people can point you in the right direction to rent one. The two electric cart places they use are Key West Cruisers @ (305)294-4724 http://keywest.com/keywestcruisers/ on Truman Ave at Truman and Duval and Reef Mobile (formerly Randal J Scooters) @ (305) 296-0208 www.reefmobile.com on Greene Street (near Sloppy Joes Bar on Duval). The Reef Mobile Electric Carts are themed, but have changed management and are going to be themed according to "reefs", like shark, manatee, dolphin, baracouda or octopus in a reef theme instead of the polka-dotted one on the hunt website. Call these companies to make reservations if you require an electric cart. An electric cart isn't necessary to experience this tour.
*Sites?
Southermost Point, Hemmingways House, Shipwreck, Cigar Place, Shrimp Dock and off the wall places you might not normally have known about. The normal Key West sites plus some interesting wacky ones, too. Learn about interesting facts and trivia of these landmarks and sites.
*Hunting for objects?
In addition to searching for the sites and answering the clues (all for points are counted at the end for prizes), there is an object named "PINKY". He is their mascot and if you find him, he is worth an extra 50 points. People in Key West know of Pinky the Flamingo. He's famous. As our award winning scavenger hunt is, too.
Since we are the ScavengEar hunt, our hunt has to have a pair of Mickey Ears, too. The back is sewn with the words "Pinky". At the end of the hunt, people gather at the "mystery location" for the awards ceremony where all the points are tallied and stories of our hunt are told.

bettemom...wished that I knew you two years ago and I could have gotten you Harley shirts from the Northernmost Harley Shop in the US in Fairbanks, Alaska...several people on our tour stopped there to buy shirts!!

Last year when we cruised Trevor was only 13 months. We put him in Flounders at Grand Cayman so we could do horseback riding, and we put him in Flounders at Cozumel for a while (we just walked around a bit--did Carlos & Charlies for a little while, then back to the ship) He stayed with us the whole time in Key West and we also used Flounders for a bit at Castaway Cay (so he could get a nap!)
I really can't decide what to do this year!

Hey guys!
Just dropping in to say hello! Not really anything new for us, all of our excursions are booked and we are ready.
We arrive on October 9th and spending the night at the Hyatt at the airport. The 10th we will spend at Typhoon Lagoon (thanks again for the tickets Mary Jo!!!!!!) Then once finished with Typhoon Lagoon we will head to the Radisson, looking forward to seeing everyone there-it will be one BIG family reunion!
