I'll do an update next weekend with the deletion of the people who already dropped of the list.

Eeeyorekjs7
Stephmarty
Videoman & his friends

Isn't JenKatt the spouse of Jeff (the monorail driver). She posted on this page (the last post on the page) on July 28 that they are still cruising and they will get pics to you soon. Did I miss something since then?

Eric, you have JenKatt on both lists. I'm preety sure she has posted/responded.
Also Mo64rn is on the 10/12/03 cruise.
Looking forward to the update!!!

Hi Everyone, Since the list keeper is buffing and polishing his list, I thought I would give everyone an update on our Brunch. And explain how our group will go about taking over Palos Monday 10/13/03 at 10:30 am.
We currently have 40 people signed up for brunch. What I do is make out index cards with 4-8 people on each card. Each table will have a "host".
At the meeting at the Raddison on Friday night I will give each host or hostess the card with the names of thier group and stateroom numbers. A host should be someone who plans on getting to the port early, and doesn't mind making the reservations. I am looking for volunteers. I will need about 7 hosts, but since Rellingtwin and I will take care of two tables, I will need 5 more.
On Sat. the host will go directly to the Palos reservation area and sign up thier table, then later at the sail away party each host can confirm the reservation was made. It sounds a little confusing, but it worked out Very well last year.
I try to group folks that are not dinning together at dinner. This way some of us who will not get a chance to dine with each other have a chance to share a meal. That said, this is your party, so if there are certain people you want to eat with, or would rather not eat with, now is the time to tell me. (with a PM or e-mail)
Please keep in mind that there is a $10. charge per person for this meal, which includes a glass of Champagne. And they can charge you if you are a "no show". But since we are At Sea that day, I really don't see that happening.
OK, Here's the List:
Twinave 1, Twswira 1, Papa 2, Rellingtwin 2, ARLO1 2, Padisneyfan 2, Bettemom 2, Sarahsmom 2, Hygiene99 2, Okwmiester 2, Cdnmickeylover 2, @Goofynut 2, Hopkins 2, Scootersmom 3, Matty204 2, CWD 2, Boardwalk4me 4, Tulirose 1, Alikat99 2, Cheeseplease 2. = 40
:) :) :) Later, Ave'

Ave, I am pretty sure last year as hostess of my table I called the stateroom of the 2 couples on my index card and let them 1)know they were booked 2) what time to be there and 3) who they were dinning with.
This way if for some reason that person or persons did not make it to the sail-a-way, they knew where to be, and and what time.

I LOVE the idea of seating people who are NOT already seating together. After all, I will be dinning with you and Mark everynight, I'd love to meet someone else at brunch!:D

This is ohioscootersdad, I would be glad to be a host for our table. On a side note, what is the proper attire for a brunch at Palo's? We are a small town family not used to doing brunch.:smooth:

So is Oct 2nd the concensus for an Eastern Antigua cruise in 2004? I know Windemere originally mentioned September 18th, but then RellingTwin and Padisneyfan mentioned they preferred Oct 2nd. I had made on board reservations for Sept 25 Western in 2004 because thet were not taking Eastern weeks at that time. I want to try and switch it before the 12 month time period because the prices seem to go up at that time.....all those on board reservations using up early booking rates :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I sorta like September cruising vs later, but I'll go with whatever others want. I figured I would try to make the switch with Dreams when I make the final payment for the 10/11 cruise. Coming up pretty quick now.

Cheese...we are going to book the 10/2/04 cruise while on board! I've learned the hard way...the only way to avoid the post cruise blues is to have another to look forward to!

Dress Code for Palos Brunch is Resort Casual. I believe this means no jeans, tank tops, t-shirts, ect. Men: dress shorts or pants, collered shirt, no tie or jacket needed. Ladies: dress shorts, blouse, sundress, or pants are OK. No cut offs, jeans or halter tops.
Note: This is MY interpitation of Resort Casual.
Ohioscootersdad, thanks for volunteering. Consider yourself a host. One down, four to go.

Pretty fun I wound up on BOTH lists... I guess either I'm easy to ignore or no one can figure out what to do with me.. :)

Been way to humid the last couple of days... the storms are coming on a more regular basis to cool it off.. today at 7pm is was 78 degrees and breezy with little humidity.. beautiful!

Can't wait for the cruise (PS if there is a Melting Pot resteraunt near you, you must, MUST, try it)

JenKatt, Pretty here today too. We even ate dinner outside. Nice breeze kept the bugs away.

I have a question for you guys. With the brunch on the first day at sea, does anyone know if Flounder's will be open? If it's not, we'll have to pass on the brunch, because we'll have no one to watch Emily. :( :( :(

Ooohhh, I might have found the answer to my question. I just checked out Barb's site, and her Navigator from a May western says that Flounder's is open from 10am - 2pm on the first day at sea. Whew, we should be able to make it. I just have to be at Flounder's first thing when we get on board.

Oh, and we made our decisions about what to do before and after the cruise. Since we both have to work the Friday before the cruise, we wouldn't be able to get to the port until pretty late. So, instead, we've decided to drive to WDW and go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party on 10/10. So, we'll be there to celebrate Eric's birthday too. I just have to get tickets. Last year we had a blast, and even got to meet Taswira too. We'll have to work on our costumes this year. Plus, they just released fall rates for FL residents and we can get an all-star for $49/night or moderate for $79/night. I'll have to decide where we want to stay that night. Then we'll leave early the next morning for the port.

And, on the return trip, we'll stop by Epcot for the Food & Wine festival for the rest of Saturday. Then, we're just going to head back home that night. We just decided that we'll want one full day at home before starting work on Monday.

So, we'll miss everyone at the Radisson, but we'll see everyone that's staying at WDW the night before.

I'm looking at doing the 10/2/03 cruise also. We are planning a family May cruise in 2004 and then just Norm and I for Oct. I have to watch the dates as we nearly had to cancel this year when Norm discovered that both him and the other manager in his department were both off at the same time. Which is a big NO NO in his company. However, they did make an exception this year. But the other manager already gave Norm his dates for 2004 and one of them is the 2nd week in Oct, so we should be ok with the 10/2 date, just can't stay in Disney post cruise.

Since we booked ours through DVC, I soon will need to buy more points to keep cruising.

Everyone should be at or near Baltimore by now. Only an hour away for me, so don't have to leave until around 10am Sat morning. I did get the Mickey heads at Home Depot. Got bright yellow.

Now if only the rain hold off tomorrow.

Mary-- I will try this weekend to get the Capt Marvin reservations in. With both boys home, I don't get to use the computer much at night.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Nancy

Lucky you Amy that you got the discount rates. I am still waiting for the AP rates for 10/18. Best I could get post cruise was an AAA rate which isn't that great. Need to buy my MNSSHP tickets for 10/19. I think we are going to do Epcot on 10/18.

Since we have a late flight on Friday night, we won't make it to the Radisson until really late. Plus now that Avis moved, we might not see any one until we get to the ship. Since we have to drop our rental car off.

Nancy

DH and I were discussing a back-to-back-to-back for next year. Yes, a three-peat. This will unfortuneately happen before 10/2. The Sept 4 is San Juan, 9/11 is western and Sept 18 is Antigua. 3 different cruises in a 3 week period.

Ok, so we are a LITTLE hooked on Disney. IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

Wow, windy, that sounds AWESOME!!! I would love to join you, but I'm sure that my boss would say a quick, NO!!

Well, I just bought my tickets for MNSSHP on 10/10. So, I just need to call tomorrow to make my hotel ressies for that night. Since we're going to be at the MK, I'm wondering where the best place to stay will be. I'm sure that we'll be tired after the party (we were last year), because we didn't leave until almost midnight. Does anyone know how long it will take for me to get to the port from WDW?
