Cruise 10/11/2003 Part 2

Folks,

I don't want to sound to harsh, but I don't think that we should put anymore time into "detective work" to find people who haven't responded to our mails or not posted.
If someone i.e. changes his email-adress and "forgets" to inform me - Bad luck :o
By coincidence Mary and I stumbled over one of our co-cruisers on another thread and found out that he's still with us, but has changed his email.
Maintaining the List and the Homepage is a time-consuming task and I will not start "chasing" people, because some of them are sloppy or expect to be pampered
I'll do the reminder the weekend after next and everybody who hasn't responded until then will be (Like Arnie would say :p ) E-R-A-S-E-D - Period

I know out of experience that in every club or organisation based upon volunteer work ususally 95% of the work is done by 5% of the people - But nevertheless this fact sometimes makes me

Mike, glad to hear Kathy's sister is doing well.:bounce:

Eric, I agree! Having done the list late year, I know what you mean. It looks very easy, but it is a lot of work.

Hi Cheese! Sorry we will miss you at the Radisson, but will see you on board!

Had a slight hitch last night but will hopefully still be making the Baltimore meet. Jim slipped yesterday (I won't tell you what he was doing at the time) and hurt his toe. He did this yesterday morning and we still went to the Jays game but left in the 6th inning to go to emerg to get it checked out. He let me drive so it must have really been hurting. After 3 hours in emergency it's not broked or dislocated just badly sprained and he was told will take up to 2 weeks to feel better. It's bruised and swollen and he feels like an idiot.

I'm sure that we will still be in Baltimore but I'm going to wait to see what he's like when he gets up this morning. We didn't get home til almost 2am so he probably won't be up early this morning. Unfortunately for me Lily (the dog) wakes me up each morning before 7am to be let out. When DS is home she sleeps with him but doesn't bother waking him up to let her out but comes to me to do it. There's nothing like having a cold nose in your face each morning.:D

Glad to hear that Kathy's sister is doing better.

Eric -- It's not harsh. You've put a lot of work into the list and if people don't forward new email addresses-- well it's their loss.

Well off to put a load of laundry in -- was going to do it last night but at 2am didn't feel like it.

Fiona

Eric,

I completely agree...You have put a great deal of time into this..Common curtesy calls for a reply...

Bette

I understand. My group of people for svavenger hunt and baltimore have been a pleasure. I guess we are the Disney nuts.

Tina :)

Eric ... VERY WELL PUT. I agree that when you put a lot of time in doing your list, e-mailing changes, etc, etc, etc you deserve the consideration of people telling you things have changed and they are no longer able to be PART OF the group.

I know your list is very important to me ... I have a copy by my work puter, a copy by my home puter and one by my recliner. It's the only way I can keep track of who is who... AND it's where I get the info for the tags!

(OK, I'll get off my soap box now - I feel better! )

Fiona ... Tell Jim to HEAL!

Gotta run - work calls...................

Had to rescue us from page 2.

I actually got email notification for a change. Wonder if that will continue.

Pixie dust for Jim's toe.

Glad Cathy's sister is doing better.

Another busy day at work.

Talk to you all later.

Nancy

Thanks for the shoulder patting, Folks - I needed that ;)

What's up with Jim's toe? Did I miss something:confused:

Mike,
they should at least wear helmets :jester:

Jeff,
I made ressies for 4, Metropolis, Wednesday 20:15, T3. We have to pick up the tickets at 19:45 latest.
(Translation for our American friends: Metropolis is the best cinema in Downtown Frankfurt, we're going to watch Terminator 3, which started today in Germany, and 20:15 and 19:45 is the CIVILIZED way to say 815pm and 745pm ;) )
Let's talk on the phone on where to meet and I'll send you a route description for the way to the cinema's garage.

:( I'm having a rotten few days @ work. I have to keep repeating to myself "calm down, it's not worth the high B/P" Thank God we go to Baltimore this weekend ...If only I was packed! (This is me stepping of my soap box. )

Fiona ... I hope Jim's foot is better - bet there is a good story there! Tell him not to feel bad cause sometimes we all stick our foot where it dosen't belong.

Senior Moment ... does anyone remember how many carry-on bags we are allowed when boarding the ship? Trying to figure out how to get all my goodies on board and be ready for the sail-a-way party.

Gotta run ...

Eric,
Cast another vote in agreement with your conclusions.

Papa,
Glad to here Kathy's sister is doing well. Pixie Dust to speed her continuing recovery ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Finoa,
Pixie Dust for Jim too ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Hopkins,
Please and us to your Scavenger Hunt list.

Dave

Hi Everyone, I guess we needed a "bump". Viking I understand completely!!! Why is it the people you go out of your way for the most seem to appriciate it the least.
Oh well, still hoping to get some more cruiseres. Have we hit 100 people yet? :p
Hope everyone has a GREAT time next weekend.
Later, Ave'

Eric,

I agree 100% with you. Thanks for all your hard work. If there is any help I can provide let me know.

I guess I am more civilized than I thought! My brain, my wristwatch and my cell phone are all on the 24-hour clock! It just seems a lot easier than thinking "am" or "pm". :p But then some people do look confused after they ask me what time it is . . . unless they are military or in aviation. :jester:

Oh Fiona - I hope Jim feels up to making that long drive. So looking forward to meeting you both. And I understand we have a mutual DIS friend - Snowwark!!! :D

Hey Viking - Didn't Rich and I say a ways back that the closer you get to 40, the crankier you are getting??? :jester: :jester: :jester: .... You know we are just kidding. We've told you a few times, but not often enough in my mind, how much we appreciate you taking the time to do all this for us. It really adds to the excitement and anticipation of our upcoming cruise.

Kathy - We can't remember how many carryon bags either. I think I'll throw some DCL literature in the car for the drive and when we see ya, we can tell ya what we learned.
