Congratulations Nancy. We were with clients all day for nurses for newborns. We have six visits scheduled for tomorrow.

Now the bad news. Our heat pump just went out today. Major Bucks if it is kaput. There goes the forrester. Have to have heat and air conditioning.

Gotta read through the posts again that I skimmed through in the last day or so and comment properly on them. No time now, however.

Just wanted to say Hi! and announce that we just booked our flights for my niece's wedding in August in Omaha! Got INTERNET SPECIALS!!! (Mary, you have corrupted me!) $94 each way. Can't do much better than that. Booked four seats cuz my mom will be traveling with us. My other sister here on Long Island is still debating how she, DH and four kids will go. They are looking into renting a van and driving out there.

Oh! Dan! We have a one-hour layover going and a two-hour layover returning at Chicago's Midway airport. Not enough time to do a mini-meet unfortunately. Give my best to Scott

Hi Folks,
probably no chat for us. We're on Auntie's brunch on Saturday starting at 11am CET and I don't think we will be back by 4pm CET.
But perhaps we could have an evening chat (Your time) on the easter weekend? If we would chat at 6pm EST it would mean Midnight for us, which shouldn't be a problem on long weekend.

Sun is shining today..... that's two in a row! I even had a couple of windows open yesterday for a while. Tulips and daffs are almost ready to bloom.

Eric-- I could possibly do a Sunday evening chat, 6 p.m. our time, over Easter. We'll be gone that Fri and Sat nights. I guess it depends on how organized I am when we return Sunday morning with the unpacking, cooking dinner, etc.

Rosemary--Congrats on the great airfare! I got our flights to WDW over New Years online for $192/person round trip including all the fees, etc., so I know how excited you are. Still looking for cheap flights down for October.

Mike-- Sorry to hear about the heat pump. You definitely need that a/c for a Nashville summer. We camped for a week with my family, parents, sibs and their families, one July by the Center Hill Dam near Smithville. Went to the Fiddlers Jamboree and the Appalachian craft center, etc. Nice visit, but it sure was hot!

Good News The unit is ok. It was just a bad breaker in the main breaker box. The bad news was that after the diagnostic fee and new breaker with labor I am now $177.00 poorer

Hope that the 2nd job works out for you Mary. Sent our nephew his care package in the mail yesterday. I don't know how long it will take to get to Iraq. Good thing that there are no chocolates what with the high temperatures over there.

Colleen we just had dogwood winter here last night. All of the dogwood trees are in bloom along with the azaleas. Tree and grass pollen are everywhere. The yard needs cutting again as it is almost ankle high again. My son just mowed Sunday. Mike

DD went on a field trip this morning (5:30 AM). I have to pick her up at her school at 10:30 PM tonight. That is WAY past my bedtime.

Just popping in quick to say hi!

Been working overtime -- someone is sick and will be out a while. I normally work a 32 hour week. Worked fulltime 40 plus 2.5 hours extra so that I can qualify for time and half tomorrow! (reason for 2.5 hr. thing is we normally get paid for lunch so they won't give time and a half unless you work over 42.5 hrs.

So this has been a long week and I can't believe I will be working tomorrow again and a Saturday no less! But time and a half! Gotta grab it when opportunity presents itself.

Hi everyone! I just found a reason to temporarily come out of lurking.

Eric - You MUST take a look at the <B><a href="http://www.spruce-creek.de/" target="index">Spruce Creek Fly-In website in GERMAN</A></B>. Trying to make sense of that makes me well aware of how little I recall of the German language.

I don't think the site has been updated recently. It mentions John Travolta, but the property owners association kicked him out long ago. Plus, property values have nearly doubled in the last few years. Otherwise, I thought it was kind of an interesting site for our little community. And for those who might not know, not everyone in Spruce Creek is absurdly wealthy. Needless to say, I am at the low-income level for the community!

Sorry, Can't make it to chat next weekend. Got to work 9 - 7 both Sat and Sun. Probably won't get home til 7:30-7:45pm.

We just bought our plane tickets for October. USAir non-stop $216 round trip per person. That's the cheapest we've seen in a longgggg time.

Pretty sure we'll be heading for WDW for 2 weeks in June. Think we'll be driving though to save money for October. Using DVC points to save even more money for Oct.

DH and I attended a company Christmas party at Spruce Creek one year. Interesting place. DH is very familiar with Daytona since he attended Embry Riddle and worked for a few years afterwards in the area before moving to Orlando.
