First things first - Cathy mentioned a few postings back about taking a B-day cake to Art at work so....HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ART!!!

Second - MaryJo, Glad you had a great vacation. Mike and Kathy are the best, aren't they? Looking forward to meeting you and Sam and Sarah in Baltimore.

Alikat (Amy) - Wish you could go to the Baltimore meet too! Happy early birthday from us here in NY.

Eric - The only H.S. reunion I ever attended was last summer for my 30th and I had a blast. I meant to wish you fun with your reunion but never got around to posting it. It was a given that you would be one of the youngest looking alumni there!

Hopkins - (and Sarahsmom too since you specifically asked about them) = Looks like more possibilities for our mini-meet what with Cheeseplease responding and looking into it (Hope you guys can make it Dave and Ellen) and tonight I got to speak with Arlene and her hubby! They are most definitely considering it, and will most likely be attending. They are just waiting on something to be certain the date is clear.

Arlene and Andy - I had fun talking with you both and hope you did too. Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Hope...would be glad to bring the sweatshirt for your daughter...Sarah wore it a few years ago (she is now 13) so she can grow into it. I will bring the Rainforest cafe sweatsirt for TwinAve's daughter (also have a grand canyon sweatshirt that was worn about twice!!) I'll have to pack it in an extra checked in bag.

When we flew to Branson, we decided to only take two suitcases for simplicity sake..needless to say, Northwest weighed our two suitcases...one suitcase was 51.5 lbs and one was 55.0 lbs. and they wanted to charge me $50.00--I freaked and told the attendant that I was actually saving them lbs. since we could have each taken 2 suitcases---there I am at the checkin counter, pulling stuff out of our suitcases and trying to come up with 6.5 lbs to take out of the suitcases---what a pain!! Needless to say, we purchased an extra carryon bag in Arkansas and used that as checked in luggage.

Sure hope that Arlene and her husband can make it (heck, who needs karoke for your birthday when you have us!!) and hope that Dave and Ellen can make it.

Nice to see you posting, Dan!! You guys look so handsome in your tuxes---is nate your mom, Dan? Hi Tullirose...can't wait to meet you and Rich...love the Hawaiian shirts!! Mary Jo

Oh! I missed my Dan!!!

Sorry, I was busy emailing family. Got the niece's wedding coming up in Omaha next month.

Going to bed now. Catch you another time Dan. Don't work too hard.

:Pinkbounc Sorry --- But it's the Martha Stewart in Me ... If your kids have a favorite t-shirt or sweatshirt that they love and either dosen't fit anymore or they don't want to get wrecked ... you can always get some fiberfill and stuff it and make into a pillow. I've given this idea for the shirts you get signed by the characters on the cruise.

Cathy with @ C

:bounce: :bounce: PS ... Great to see Dan & Dave posting again!

Good morning, gang!

I haven't caught up completely yet. It's been so busy here!

We had a great time camping for three days last weekend. The weather even cooperated for us. We went with some friends and they brought along two of their grandsons, ages 10 and 12, so Josh had a blast with two boys his age. They had a beach party on Saturday with a DJ and a sandcastle building contest. Our boys came in third place and were so excited!

Josh and I leave for WDW on Sunday morning for a week. Can't wait to meet Amy, Chris and Emily when we get in. Amy, I'll call you on your cell. Any suggestions on where you'd like to meet? I'm sending you an email.

Eric---Great job on the website! It's nice to see what everyone looks like. I know I sent you some pics, but I'm sure they're too large. When I figure out how to do it, I'll resize and send them again. Thanks for all your hard work doing this for us.

The Baltimore meet sounds like it will be so much fun! Take lots of pics!

Gotta run. Becca will be here soon to spend the rest of the day.

Take care, all!

Colleen

P.S.- We just found out last week that we'll be grandparents again sometime in the spring! Won't that be fun!?!

scootersmom and scottersdad...congratulations on the new expected baby....I'm assuming that it is Becca's mom and dad??? Also thanks for the pictures from Virginia...we enjoyed receiving them!!

Still seem to be on Central Standard Time...usually, I'm in bed by 10:30 p.m. but last night I ended up getting to bed after midnight and getting up this morning was tough!! No more sleeping in until 9:30 a.m. like I did on vacation!! Nice and sunny here today...meeting GoofyNut for lunch at our favorite diner...have a great day!! Mary Jo

Colleen -

First of all, congrats on being grandparents again. I know how excited you must be. I know how my mom and MIL are when we told them about Emily. And, they are so anxious to know when we're going to have another one.

As for where to meet, any place is fine with me. We can head over to your resort, or Downtown Disney, one of the parks, it doesn't matter to us. We're just excited to meet another cruisetoberfest2 person before October.

I just added ARL01 (Arlene and Andy) to the Baltimore mini-cruise meet on August 2nd. We are at 17 people!!!

WOW!

Tina :bounce:

PS:congrats scootersmom and scooters dad :)

Congrats to the Scooters :bounce:

And congratulations to Tina: She's the new record-holder for the largest file sent to be displayed for the homepage.
Her Picture, which was sent as a Word.doc, exceeded Cathy's 750 kilobyte by far:

2084 Kilobyte

Which is nearly 2 Megabyte and wouldn't fit on a standard-disk.

The Keeper of the List and Administrator of Cruisetoberfest2's homepage now officially awards the first prize:
Tina, you may buy aforementioned Listkeeper a cocktail, unless someone beats your record (Which I consider highly improbable;) ).

Please don't send it again, I'll use a screencopy-software to make a JPEG out of it and put that on the homepage - No harm done, Tina: As I posted before I have a DSL-line with a flatrate.

Here again the specifications for a picture:

-JPEG-format (Filename ends on .jpg)
-Maximum width 300 pixels
-Maximum height 300 pixels
-File-size about 25 kilobyte +/-10 kilobyte

If you don't know how to resize your pics, send them as they are. I'll do the resizing then.

For the Baltimore-Cruise-Meet:

Make a pic of Y'All, label it with your names and I'll put that on the homepage. Abovementioned size/width/height restrictions DO NOT apply in that case, because I will use that pic to substitute your single pics and save a lot of space on our homepage.

Scooters: Congrats on the upcoming new grandchild!
Tina: Congrats on your new "Title". :jester:
Mary Jo, Please give the sweatshirts to Hope. I was not wanting them for DD. She is about the same size as Sarah. I was thinking of saving them for DS. But it would be a while before they fit.
Going to check out the webpage now!
Later, Ave'

Ave....aren't you a sweetheart!! :) My oldest DD is 9 and could probably wear them while on the cruise. She is always cold and I am sure they will fit her. My youngest, 7, would be able to grow into them.

How many of the men are going to wear tuxes on formal night? I am 100% sure that I will not be able to get my DH into one. I even thought of renting one, but he suggested we put that $$ towards the tipping. He says he would be uncomfortable. He promises to wear a tie that evening. He is a country boy and I love him for it!! There are some threads on the boards about dressing FORMAL...those people definately make their point known that if you aren't wearing a tux or a dark suit you should eat elsewhere!

What excursions are you taking in Cozumel?? I am still trying to decide.

Hope

Hope -

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to try to get Chris into one. He actually already agreed, but I'm sure that he forgot that he said ok. I think that we might buy one, but we have a Sacino's outlet here in town and I've been told that you can get a tux, shirt, tie, vest and shoes for about $100. I don't know if it's that good of a deal, but we're going to go check it out.

Thanks for all the congrats, everyone! We are definitely excited.... maybe not as excited as we were with the first, but happy none the less. Josh was not as excited about being an uncle again till we reminded him that it might be a little boy this time. Becca is excited to be a big sister... although she doesn't have a clue what that means yet... she gets all happy and claps her hands if we ask her if she's going to be the big sister.

Eric--- I sent you a pic of the three of us and I think I did the resizing correctly, but if not, let me know and I'll try again. I also have a couple of group shots taken in Virginia of us and Art, Cathy, Mary Jo, Sam and Sarah if you'd like them for the site. I think Cathy also has some group shots from that trip.

Hope--- Don will be wearing a tux on formal night and a dark suit on semi formal. He's anxious to do this since we found a really neat Disney tux vest on Ebay for him. I should go back and see if I can get one for Josh too. We're thinking of buying a tux for Don, but not for Josh because he'd grow out of it too quickly. One of our tux rental shops is always running specials and they're not very expensive.

We are still undecided about excursions in Cozumel. We'd like to do the Tulum ruins, but I think it would be too much for Mandy and it's an all day excursion, so we wouldn't have time to look around at anything else. So, I think we'll choose something else.

Have a good evening, all. It's raining here tonight.

Colleen

Congratulations Colleen.

Guys I hope that those of you that are doing the parks after the cruise realize the the international food and wine festival starts at epcot the day we return from the cruise.

Mike

oooh Mike, you just made my day. We are definitely staying for Food & Wine after the cruise, before we head back to St. Pete. We usually go at least two or three weekends during Oct/Nov just for that event!!

One more question about tuxes.....I read somewhere that someone rented a tux for her DH and it was waiting in their stateroom when they boarded. Does anyone know anything about that? I would like to check out the price. My DH couldn't say much if the tux was already in the room!

Thanks,

Hope:Pinkbounc
