We finally got our Reservation # today so i went online to book our CRT ADR and they are STILL saying I need to pay in full with my credit card?!? wth? why isn't there an option to click that you are on the Dining Plan?

even if you sign in, you still need to use a cc to put a "hold" on the reservation. You are not charged. You will only be charged 1. when you eat, or 2. when you cancel, and it's within 48 hours (I think). (of course, if you use your dining plan, and eat there, your card will not be charged, also)

The same thing happened to me when I reserved Akershus.

If you call and make the ressie they still ask for the credit card...even with dining plan....but they do not actually charge it when you call whe you have dining plan...hope that info helps...

The online system has always been finicky with CRT reservations. Make sure that you are properly associating your Resort Reservation AFTER you click the CRT link. Even then, sometimes it will not recognize that you have the dining plan and attempt to charge you.

There are (basically) two options if it's still trying to charge (a non-zero total due):

1. Pay now and get refunded when you eat.
2. Call Disney Dining and have a live person do it for you.

There have been cases where people were able to be refunded after booking and before dining, however 99% of these cases their original reservation was canceled and rebooked. This risks losing the reservation as someone may snag it out from under you.

At any TS or dinner show that requires prepayment, the only way to book and not have your card charged is on the phone. Online is not set up to do this on purpose. If you call, they will use your card to hold the ressie and charge your card only if you don't show up or cancel in time. You should be able to get your card refunded when you dine according to reports here on the Dis.

1) Well, frequently yor ARE charged.
2) You can get a credit card refund when you show up for the meal.
3) SOMETIMES, you can get a refund earlier, but it takes sevral calls.

When I booked CRT for dinner, I didn't have to add my credit card info to the ressie. Just make sure you are signed it, and make your resort ressie number associated to the CRT ADR you're trying to make. That's what I did.
