CRT question

We have been to breakfast twice and thought it was o.k. When we eat there it is more for the experience of being inside the castle rather than the characters or food. We much more prefer Akershus Breakfast in Epcot because the character interaction and food is much better, but of course you are not eating in the castle then. When we go in September we do have ADRs for CRT dinner, which is a first for us, and I am really excited about it. The menu sounds really good and plus this meal is a surprise to my girls, they don't think we are eating there at all this trip and are bummed by it.

We've had breakfast there once, and dinner several times the most recent being 2 weeks ago, and I like dinner better than breakfast. I think because by the time evening rolls around I'm ready to sit for a meal and not feel impatient to get going. Also, dinner is a longer meal and was paced very nicely so the times that the princesses came around weren't as obtrusive as breakfast can be. Dinner seemed more relaxed than breakfast. But I have to say, that I would go to the castle for any meal. :sunny: princess:

We haven't been for dinner because I thought the characters were the fairy godmother and the mice. I could barey get my boys to agree to the princesses, the other characters would have been a no-go.

Lunch was not great when we went in May 08. Very overpriced for 2 credits. The picture package isn't really a draw for us.

Breakfast in Sept 09 was really good, but again not worth 2 credits. It was super rushed.

If I had a girl, I might go again. But with 2 boys, we will not likely go back.

We did dinner last weekend. Had an 8:30 reservation and were probably seated closer to 9. We loved the dinner because you can see some of the fireworks going off, which we thought was awesome. All the princessess were there and took their time with our daughter and they were all great.

Also, our server was awesome. Our daughter is 1 and he offered to bring her some cooked pasta to eat while we had dinner. Totally cool and unexpected, and really helped her keep her concentration while we ate our meals :)

I've never done breakfast there before, but I would do dinner again just for the atmosphere.

No princesses at dinner at all except Cindy downstairs for a photo op. You get Godmother and mice (well not real ones otherwise it would only be 1 credit!). For 2 credits we went with lunch, I can get breakfast food anyplace and not use 2 credits. Food was actually pretty good.
Here is our own catch-I was upset we had a 2:45 pm lunch ADR. I was very worried we would be rushed out, the princesses would be tired and the staff would ignore us setting up for dinner. Not the case. Although we did have to wait for about 20 minutes downstairs and we could not be seated in the lower area it turned out great! It was between the turnover of lunch and dinner. The lower area was being set up for dinner (btw you are only seperated by 3 steps and you see the whole castle dining room) so we late lunch ADRs were all seated around the edge. The princessed were not rushed at all! In fact they spent a lot of time with each table. The food was hot and we were not rushed through the courses. The bottom area began starting to fill for dinner as we left.

I love the CRT for breakfast and we're doing it again in Nov.--I must be in the minority but I LOVE the food! (unless I'm just not a picky eater)

An early breakfast! This way you can get to walk down main street before the park opens! We love the breakfast and the character interaction. My little one still loves the princesses so we will more than likely go back again. We did Akershus for dinner one year and we were really disappointed with both the food and the character interaction guess it all depends. The princesses were much more interactive at the Castle for us.

So, there are princesses there for dinner? My DD will LOVE that!!!

We've only done the lunch but loved it. By having an early lunch, we were able to get on all the rides we wanted to with little wait, eat at CRT, rest at the room and head back for a leisurely evening. This was is Aug. '08. I'm excited to try the dinner now that the princesses are there too.

Yes this changed; there are now princesses that come around at dinner, just like at breakfast and lunch. princess:

I agree get an early ADR before the park opens, its the best. I like CRT for breakfast its efficient and with 2 girls you can see the princesses and start your day off right. We have done all 3 meals and neither of them stand out as excellent but being able to take a photo of your kids in front of the castle with no one around is priceless
