CRT Question

I just booked CRT dinner for 4 adults. We have been before and love eating in the castle. My question is has the Disney policy on payment changed for ADRs at CRT? I was told my credit card would be charged today for the total price of the reservation (209.36) Last time I remember providing a credit card and being told if we did not cancel within the 24 hour timeframe; our credit card would be charged. Has this policy changed or am I misremembering?

The phone representative I spoke with said I pay now and then if I cancel with at least 24 hours notice, then they will issue me a credit. It seems to me that this creates more work on Disney's end.

I am not really upset about paying now, thankfully we are able to do so, I am simply left wondering if my mind is going.....:rotfl:

Thanks in advance.

Also - if anyone is curious; multiple reservation times were available for the May 18th date I was looking at. Perhaps CRT is not as difficult a reservation to get in these tough economic times. JMHO

Good for me!!! Although I am going during free dining so I know a lot more people won't be paying for it so it- but I can hope! Until I secure my ressie, I will worry about it... urgh.

This will be my first time getting a ressie here so I can't help you on the question, but I am glad you were able to get it!!! And not at 90 day out, lucky.

We had to prepay the last time we went. We didn't for Akershus though. Just needed the card to reverve.

would being on the dining plan impact the pre pay?

I had to give a cc for cali grill but no charge. I wasn't required to do either at CRT?:confused3

If you tell them you're on the dining plan, they'll take your CC as a guarantee against a no-show, but it is not charged in advance.

That's correct. With the dining plan you just secure with a CC. Without, you pre-pay when the reservation is made.
