CRT on Credits

I currently have a reservation for CRT "prepaid" with dining plan credits. I'm wanting to make some changes to my reservation that require me to cancel and rebook. I will not be adding the dining plan this time. When I cancel the reservation, and therefore the dining plan, will it cancel my CRT reservation?

I believe so, becuase that is the "guarantee" - instead of cancelling online - maybe call and do it that way maybe they can switch to your credit card and prepay9ing for it so you dont looe it

When you booked, did you not provide a credit card as a backup? I thought they always ask for a CC so they can charge the penalty for no shows even if you're booked in credits...?

I did not have to use a credit card when i uesd my credits to reserve CRT

Would it be possible for me to pay with a card then cancel the trip? Would that keep my reservation at CRT?

stupid question we have the DxDDP when i call or reserve online do i have to tell them i have the plan didnt realize you have to pay for CRT before hand I thought you just book.

We had to call and reserve CRT, otherwise online wanted you to pay upfront. We were told online isn't smart enough to know you want to use the dining plan

If you reserve CRT with your dining plan and then decide later you want to pay for it OOP before the trip can they still do that without cancelling and rebooking?

When we booked CRT last year we had the deluxe plan and didn't have to pay upfront for it. I guess it just assumed we would be using credits for it.

No, it won't change. You didn't actually have any credits when you reserved CRT, so you didn't pay for it already. They can't deduct credits from your room account since you don't have credits or even a room account until after you check into the resort. If you intend now to pay without using DDP credits, when you arrive at the restaurant tell them that you will be paying using another method.

You would not have been able to book CRT without giving a credit card for either a guarantee or to pay for the entire thing at booking.
