CRT for Dinner? How difficult to get?

We are going to Disney for our honeymoon in October, and we want to eat dinner at the castle. How hard is it to get PS's for dinner there? If it's going to be hard I want to make sure I have a backup in mind.

I just reserved dinner for us yesterday for the end of Sept; it wasn't too hard to get and we're a party of 6. I would just call exactly 90 days out just to be sure.

I called the day before we wanted it when we got the the resort Actually I changed our PS form one night to the next.

I called on my 90 day mark about 1 in the afternoon and the CM asked me what time I would like, so I said about 5:30 and I got it. So it's pretty easy. At least I think.

We did the same thing a couple of years ago for lunch in the castle. Was no problem at all & we go to disney in July. If going during free dining i would call 90 days out.

Didn't take any chances and called 90 days out. And since I was up at 7:00 anyways.....

I had no problem getting in at 6:00 pm. Can't wait to eat there.

I think it depends on...who knows what at Disney??! I called at about 30 days last fall and could not get a table for 2 during our stay at the end of Oct. I called at about 85 days this past spring, and could not get a table for 5 for our May visit. I called at about 40 days for our upcoming visit and had a HUGE selection of days and times for dh's and my short visit sans children in July. Go figure. I have been able to luck into cancellations close to my travel dates at several other WDW restaurants, but I didn't try at CA Grill.
