CRT Credit Card Question

We have the dining plan, so will my credit card be charged only if I do NOT show up for my reservation or will it be charged and the charges reversed when I DO show up?

I'm wondering how this will work too. We booked CRT the day before we added the free dining. So my card was charged $25 and we already payed the cc bill. Will they credit it back when we get there?

I don't have the free dining plan, but the CM did ask if I did have a dining plan. They must make a note of it and hopefully will adjust when you eat there.

I was told that the CC is just to hold a spot for you and that there will be no charges to your CC unless you fail to show.

They debited my card for $35 at the time of the reservation. I called back and told them I'm now on the dining plan. They said they still needed the funds and would credit the deposit when I'm there in August. That's probably to deter people from cancelling without calling...

if you do not show up, your card will be charged. In fact, that is regardless of whether or not you're on a dining package or not. The difference is, if you are on a package, they use a credit card hold. If you aren't on the plan, then your card is charged the deposit amount. HTH!

Madge, that's true for other venues, not CRT - I also have the dining Plan, when I made my reservations the CM said (as others have stated) they will take the $10 per adult $5 per child out of my credit card that day... when I arrive and "pay" with my dining plan, then they will put a "credit" back on my card for the $10 and $5....

(so since not the whole family is going, I thought we'd pay out of pocket for this buffet, then eat at Calif Grill a 2TS/signature!)

I booked the PSB, CRT, and Hoop Dee Doo Review, all on the dining plan.... When I made the PS, the dining CM told me to call if a charge showed up, that there should be no charge to my card. I had trouble with the HDDR--that one did go through, but it was absolutely no trouble getting it reversed

Hmm. I booked CRT lunch yesterday and the CM said I would NOT be charged unless we didn't show up or didn't cancel with 48 hours notice. I haven't checked my CC. Maybe I ought to pull up the account and see what's on there because I have been reserving things left and right.

I booked CRT breakfast through Dreams Unlimited. My cc was charged $20 for 2 adults. I e-mailed and asked my agent. She informed me that the $20 will be credited to my account when I arrive at the restaurant and have the meal credits on my MYW dining plan available to use. I have already paid my cc bill as well and will just receive a credit when we go in October.

I called today to make one last AR, so I asked about being charged for CRT w/free dining. The CM said they would take care of it today because at the restaurant they would not be able to credit it back?! So she got a billing rep on three way and i gave her the same card number. The credit should go back on today or tomorrow. It might be worth it to call now and get it taken care of if you have been charged and have free dining.

The 1 thing I have found is to tell them up front you are on MYW Dining, so they have this noted and when you do give CC info for CRT HoopdeDoo etc they will not put a charge on your card. They will just have the info in case you do not show up. I have AR's at both CRT and HOOP for Sept on free dining for Sept and have never been charged.
