CRT - Breakfast or Dinner?

I'm certain the question has been asked of the regulars here a zillion times but I couldn't locate it. We will be in Disney in September and I've made all my ADR's. I actually made an ADR for CRT (and I did this a week late because I forgot - shame on me) for both breakfast and dinner (not on the same day) because none of my family was around to ask when they became available.

So what's the recommendation? Breakfast or dinner? We've never been to the Castle - well I haven't. I think my daughter and SIL and granddaughter were there for lunch. We've been to almost all of the character dining experiences and depending on which one I cancel - I'd try to get a signature dining place for dinner or another character breakfast (we have ressies for 1900 PF and Ohana - might try Cape May). Of course I could keep them both at the castle but should I?

We have the deluxe dining plan which we added to the free dining so I'm really thinking more of quality of the experience here and not cost. We've got enough reservations for all the days we'll be there so that's fine as well.

Advice, please?

Barbara

PS - I'm as crazy (or more so) for the 'character' dining experiences as my granddaughter. :)

The big questions is Do you want to see the Princesses? The princesses are at the breakfast and lunch. For dinner, you get Cinderella downstairs, then you get the fairy godmother and Perla and Suzie (the mice) upstairs. They do a little show, but do not really interact with you.

We had lunch there last august and all the princesses were there. My DD got to take a pic with everyone of them cause they came around to all the tables. The meal was amazing as well. It may be something to consider.....Ive never had lunch or dinner there though.

If you're crazy for the character experiences, I'd say stick with the breakfast (or do both). The dinner was much more low-key than your usual character meal - as a PP said, you have your photo with Cinderella, and then the mice and fairy godmother do a little dance, but that's it. For someone like me who's pretty introverted, the dinner was the perfect amount of character interaction - they were interacting with "the room" and not one-on-one.

We are planning to do 2 CRT meals on our upcoming trip. We will be having lunch on our first day to celebrate my daughters birthday. My birthday is at the end of the trip (10 days later) and we will be doing the dinner. We too have the dlx DDP and with the kids being young I thought that it would be a great way to use 2TS meal.
