CRT ADR prepay question

Here's a conundrum I'm having. I want to book an ADR for CRT at 180 days. We've done it in the past and always had to pre-pay with a credit card, as we've never done the dining plan before.
For this December's trip, we're debating using the dining plan, but for we may not decide until a week or so before our trip. If I reserve CRT and pre-pay with my credit card, and later add the dining plan to my DVC reservation, will they credit my card back and switch the ADR to use the 2 TS credits?

Unless you cancel and rebook the reservation as a dining plan reservation after you have added the dining plan, you can get refunded only after you have arrived at the restaurant and switched your payment to dining credits.
