I know that Thanksgiving and the weekend after are huge times for DL, but what about the Monday after (26th)? Do people take that day off as well or will things have quietened down by then do you think?

(Also just OT for a moment but can I just say that you guys all totally ROCK and make planning a trip to DL such a stress-free and super-exciting time :thumbsup2 )

I think that things start quieting down by Monday. I would guess that Monday would be manageable and the following days of that week would be less and less crowded.
I once went to Disneyland the day after Thanksgiving. :scared1: Never again!
Good luck planning your trip!

I had a friend that went that week in 2004 and she said it was pretty light on crowds. Then I was there the following week and crowds were light then too. (I'm speaking of weekdays obviously. Weekends are always packed in December.) I think the crowds are generally reasonable right after Thanksgiving, and then they gradually build to the two weeks of madness that is Christmas and New Years.

It shouldn't be bad. I could see there being some people stil there, taking an extra day, and Monday's as a rule of thumb are always one of the busier weekdays. But compared to the weekend it will be heaven! And by Tuesday, it will be beyond heaven!

Oooh, beyond heaven! That sounds most excellent :thumbsup2

I expect most of Monday will be spent in a jetlag haze anyway, consisting of me wandering around asking what country I'm in and looking for a churro cart while the kids spend their entire trip allowance in the first store we come to.

We went the Sunday after thanksgiving.. The parks were kind of empty. it was nice. Seemed like most people were on their way home..

We usually end up there on that Monday, after the crowds leave, since we are local. It is a dream that day, and that whole week. Walk-on rides, no lines to eat, just lovely. You will be thrilled!

This is the time of our annual trip and it's always been great. Getting a little bit more crowded each year, but still fantastic.

With your name...you have got to go to Santa's Reindeer Roundup to decorate a cookie!

... or two ... or three! :thumbsup2

Thanks guys, I knew that the week itself was traditionally quiet(er) but just wasn't sure if the Monday was included in that. And might I add I am insanely jealous of those of you who get to do annual trips to DL :cool2:
