Crowds Labor day weekend?

So how bad is it? I just found out about the dining offer and am now considering going to disney on my vacation labor day week instead of waiting til feb. we would arrive the sun before and stay thru til sat after. Does it quiet right down after monday? TIA!

I'm going on Labor Day afternoon and staying until the 10th. From what I've read/heard, this week is one of the less-crowded at Disney. Many parents don't want to take kids out of school this early in the school year. The weather will be rather warm, however. I'm looking forward to it anyway. I've never been at this time of year.

This used to be our favorite time to go. Since our schedules have changed we can't go this time anymore. We've been during Labor Day Week-end about 12 times, although I want to add that we have not for the last 3 years or so. Labor Day Saturday is the worse time, espcially the MK. Also DD is packed at night. A lot of locals go at night and the area is very crowded. Labor Day Monday is not bad, in fact we always loved that day. This could have changed though during the past few years. I have noticed a big increase in crowds especially in the MK at ALL times of the year. If you have park hopper passes you can always go to another park if the MK is too much. Also past the week-end it does get much less crowded. Yes, people don't take their kids out of school yet, too early in the year. Hope this helped.

We have gone every Labor Day for the past 5-6 years. We go on the Sunday before and leave on the Wednesday after. It is usually empty. We had a friend that worked at MK in the past that told us the day after Labor Day was the lowest attendance numbers of the year. I noticed no difference last year, and I think that was during free dining?! I would have never known.
