Crowds in August???

its not really that bad, but when it is FTP it was a NIGHTMARE. i swore i would never go back in aug. if they had that again. ......yeah sure i know i would end up going, but just use FP.....

I visited Disney last year - last week of August / first week of September and found the crowds very manageable - would consider visiting in August again but this year Im going in November / December..

We visted last August and the crowds were not too bad, except for MK on Saturday. We did get alot of rain, but the kids didn't mind since it was so hot, it cooled things off a bit. We are going back the 3rd week of August this year.

We'll be there the third week also. That's the same time we were there last year. The crowds were bigger than I had expected but I think that was due to FTP. I don't see the 7 for 5 deal as being as big a deal this year. At least it doesn't seem to be. So, hoping that the crowds will be down this time.

That was the Fairy Tale Package. It was similar to the 7 for 5 deal for this year. But it was pay for 4 get 3 free. A lot of people made last minute plans to visit since it was such a good deal.

I suppose that deal is slightly better than go for 7 pay for 5.... however, this year's deal still sounds good enough to attract a lot of people.

We go every year during the last week of August, first week of September. "Crowded" is a relative term. I would say the crowds are manageable, but they are there. Sure, the Southern schools are in session, but there are plenty of folks visiting from the other states!!

We make use of EMH so for us the rides will have little or no wait at that time. Later in the day, FP return times will be an hour or more. Counter service is usually not crowded and we always have PS for sit-down meals. The resort pools are, IMHO, crowded in the afternoon because everyone seems to have the same idea. The busses run very often and we frequently get a seat.

For us, these two weeks are the best and only way to go because pulling the kids out of school is not an option in our school district.

I cannot recall being rained-out at any time. The showers seem to fall, briefly and heavily, while we are inside an attraction or restaurant.

I'll be there too! We're at PC from the 22nd to the 31st. My first trip and turning 30 with the mouse! I'm hoping the crowds will be okay since I think most of the kids in the area and in a lot of places are back at school already.

Can't wait! WAHOO!

I hope the crowds won't be too bad because we'll also be there the last 2 weeks of August. WooHoo!
