Crowds Dec. 19 - 23

Because of my families various conflicting schedules, we will be visiting DW right before Christmas this year (12/19-12/23) and were wondering what we can expect in terms of crowds. I've been in early Dec. with no crowds and no lines and loved it. I've been the week after Christmas and know what that's like. Right before Christmas, I'm worried things will be extremely crowded . What should I expect?

Hi Amber,
We went to WDW on these same exact dates last year and did not have any problem!!

It was busy, but not insanely busy like summer crowds.

One of the bus drivers told us that the heavy crowds come in right before Christmas Eve, and we left on the 23rd so that was not a problem.
We spent the 22nd at MGM and it was crowded, but not that horrible holiday or summer crowd. The only ride we waited a long time for was the Rock and Roller coaster. We got a fast pass for ToT that gave us enough time to go next door to the Rock n Roller coaster and ride it with enough time to return to Tot with the fastpass. Everything else had really short waiting times. Later that evening, we were able to ride ToT again with only a short wait of 15 minutes.

We also did the last MVMCP. I think it was on the 20th. We walked on to every ride at MK, with only a 15-20 minute wait at BTMRR. I cannot complain

No worries--crowds should be quite light for you! We have been several years now in that date range. Crowds will be light upon your arrival, and build steadily as the 25th approaches--but even on the 23rd it will be light compared to the week AFTER Christmas! You should experience NO LINES in your first few days, so schedule MK during that time, and EPCOT for later. HAVE FUN!

Thanks for the info! I'm relieved to hear crowds won't be bad those days. That week between Christmas and New Years is insane.
