For those that have vacationed in Orlando in the middle of November.... How was the crowds and weather? Shorts or pants for the parks? Jackets needed?

We have been once in November(2008). Just need my mind refreshed......

Thanks!!

Crowds are heavy the week of Veteran's day and the week of Thanksgiving. Other than that, it tends to be pretty light.

As for weather, November is part of the dry season. Temperatures average around 80 for the high and 60 for the lows. The key word there is AVERAGE. The temperatures are highly variable and depend on the timing of cold fronts and if they are powerful enough to make it down to the Orlando area. You could have 85 high / 65 low for a week. A cold font could move through and then you might have a few days of 65 for the high / 45 for the low.

We went that time last year and weather was all over the place. Hot and sunny one day, freezing cold the next, raining and warm the next. Luckily we packed lots of different stuff and had jackets and mittens for the younger kids (yes, it was that cold at night and we are from Canada!). It was also more crowded than we have ever seen, (we have been in March, April, Oct and Dec). But.. we still had an awesome trip! Wouldn't hesitate to book for the same time again. You just really need to be prepared for any kind of weather.

We visited two times in November. Weather was warm and sunny (perfect) one year. The other time it was pretty chilly (long pants, jackets). Crowds in November aren't low anymore; at the least, moderate.

Normally the weather is still on the warm side...mid 70's during the day during that time. However last year it was freezing mid to late November. 40-50's in the day and 30's at night. I would check a few days before you leave.

When do the Christmas decorations generally go up?

The MK and HS will be decorated the first week of November. The resorts will start the 2nd week of Nov starting with the Deluxe resorts first. EPCOT starts decorating about the 2-3rd week also, but no Holiday activities there until the day after Thanksgiving. DTD is usually around Nov 15th or so.

We were there the same time last year and this is spot on. I was a little disappointed on how crowded it was. We will be there 11/14 to 11/20 this year.

We were there Nov 15 to 24 last year. The weather was all over the board. We wore shorts a couple of days and were bundled up in coats and gloves several other days. The weather is unpredictable. It was extremely crowded at MK every day that we visited there (5 times total) even when the crowd calendars had it at a level 2 or 3 and it was a recommended park. We had some light crowd days at AK and EP, but HS was really crowded even though it was also a recommended park on a low crowd level day.

We'll be there that week too. I'm a little bummed to here about the higher than expected crowd levels, but hopefully it won't be too bad!
