Crowds after Thanksgiving

I have no personal experience for that time, however I am planning on possibly going the day before Thanksgiving until the Wed. after. Since no one has replied yet, I'll tell you what I've gathered so far. Beginning on Sun. after Thanksgiving, the crowds seem to lower as most people are heading back home after the long weekend. If you check the Touring Plans website, the first few days (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed) after Thanksgiving have a crowd level # of 4 or 5, which on a scale of 1-10, is not bad at all. My other consideration was for the weekend before through the Sat after, but those days are more like #6 and #7s. Good luck.

I was there a year ago on the Mon- Wed after Thanksgiving. Crowds were VERY managable. Smaller even I think than they were on my last trip earlier this month.

We went the week starting the Sat after and found the crowds low. It seemed to alot people in the parks but not alot of people on rides :confused3 WE walked on on all the attractions except Soarin'. Most said wait times of 10-15 mins but we found that we rode and were off to the do the next thing in 10-15 mins.

We went that week this past year and found the crowds bigger than our expectations. that is not to say they were not manageable just larger than anticipated. Tuesday, Wednsday and Thursday the week after were good. But the days on either end were very crowded. Make sure you make ADR's as we saw lots of people turned away even in the restaurants in our resorts. We had a wonderful time and were able to do most everything we wanted.

Have gone twice during this time. Many rides do not have Fastpasses (Jungle Cruise, ITTBAB), that's how light the crowds can be. For Fantasmic- you can walk in 15 minutes prior to show and get seated on the far sides. The big rides will get lines (Space Mountain, Soarin', RnR) and these will still have Fastpasses, but the machines are not running out at 1-2pm.

My last 4 trips were from the weekend after Thanksgiving through the first week of December and in my opinion it is the best time of the year to go. Crowds are pretty light (we never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes for anything). Holiday decorations are up and lookin' good. The weather is a little unpredictable in the sense that I have seen it cold as heck...like in the 30s...and beautifully warm...like in the high 70s...You kind of have to pack for both types of weather. It is a really great time to visit. :thumbsup2

My last 3 trips and my 4th one in planning have been for this time frame. The crowds have grown over the years but it is still what I consider "low" season. You can walk on most rides or just a small wait of 15 minutes except for the main attractions and with those you can grab a fastpass all day and into the night and it typically is to come back in the next hour with posted wait times of 40 minutes.

We love this time of year and don't know what we are going to do in 2007 once my DS starts school.

we were there right after Thanksgiving in 2003 and thought it was great. Not too big of crowds and Christmas decorations, too! We are planning our next trip for Thanksgiving 2007.

We arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving this year and went to the MK on Sunday. Crowds were great all week except for Friday at Epcot, which was pretty darn crowded. Otherwise, we had a terrific time and couldn't ask for a better week.

How was the weather we went the 2nd week of December a few years ago and it was so cold :cold: that my Father had to buy something to keep him warm. Thanks for all the info !!!!!
