I am ready to start booking things up and have been thinking of November for our christmastime trip, but now am second guessing.

:crazy2:

How big of a difference of crowd levels is there the week before thanksgiving (Nov 16-19) or 2 weeks before christmas (Dec 7-10)? Both times are mon-thursday in the parks.

I picked the november week looking for the quietest time at disney, but want to hear from you guys how much busier it would be the Dec 7-10 week....

I feel like a crazy person being so picky going back and forth but it seems nicer to go closer to xmas, but I am worried everyone else feels the same way!

again thanks in advance you all are the greatest and I am so thankful for you all!:love2:

The parks should be fairly manageable both sets of days. I was there about the same time periods in 2014 and it was okay in both cases. On Monday, November 16, there might a slightly high crowds than normal for a Monday because of the Avengers Marathon over the weekend (11/12-15). I saw a few folks still wearing their medals last year, but for the most part the lines were fairly short and the crowds weren't bad. The park is still operating on shorter hours (10:00 am to 8:00 pm) and F! was only on the weekends. By December, the parks were open slightly longer (e.g., 9:00 am to 10:00 pm), but F! was still only on weekends.

I don't know if you're interested in merchandise and souvenir items (e.g., popcorn buckets), but the selection was better earlier in the season. Many of the items I saw in November were sold out by early December. So if you like to buy holiday merchandise or collect souvie items, it's another reason to go in November.

I was there during that time period this last November during the week and it was perfect. Everything was decorated, crowds were low and the weather was awesome! I agree that the December time period wouldn't be bad either.

Just FYI, there are no AP blackout days for either of the dates you are looking at. And if crowds were like last year, it souldn't be too bad since its not Thanksgiving week or super close to Christmas. This year is Disney's 60th Anniversary so they might add something special that will draw more people to the park, but I don't think it makes a difference specifically with the dates you are choosing between.

Have fun planning!
