We were both up by 7:20 and after a quick wash and brush up we were dressed and went out for a short walk.

When we got back we went into the Tremont Cafe where I had a cheese, scrambled egg and ham croissant sandwich and Dad had a breakfast panini. After breakfast we went back upstairs to get our things together and relax for a while.

At 9:30 we went back down to the lobby to wait for our 10:00 shuttle to the cruise terminal. The shuttle arrived soon after 10 and within a few minutes we were queuing outside the terminal.

The terminal doors opened just before 11:00, we got checked in and were given boarding number 4.

We were on board by about 12:00 and made our way up to Topsiders for a buffet lunch, which we ate while dolphins were playing alongside the ship.

After lunch we had a wander round the ship and I took some photos.

At 1:15 we went up to deck 7 but the cabins weren't ready yet so we sat down to wait. Just after 1:30 we saw people walking down the corridor so we removed the barrier we were waiting behind and made our way to our cabin.

At 2:45 we went down to the promenade lounge where we picked up the hoodie I had ordered from one of the other cruisers and also our DIS name tags.

Then we went back upstairs to wait for the emergency drill and once that had finished it was time for the sail away party.

After the sail away we went back downstairs where my suitcase had now arrived so I unpacked and decorated our door.

At 5:40 we went down to the bar to get a drink before the show but apparently they were not yet serving alcoholic drinks so we waited for the theatre to open and once we had got a seat we ordered a drink from one of the servers in there. The show tonight was 'Let the Magic Begin' and featured juggling from Max Winfrey and magic from Scott Pepper, both of whom were pretty good and would be performing full shows later in the week.

After the show we had a quick look round the shops then went back upstairs where we found our room had been turned down for the night and we had received a free gift - a Don 'Ducky' Williams lithograph.

Just after 8:00 we went down for our dinner, which tonight was in Parrot Cay, where we met our table mates; Chris, Susan and her son Jeff, Jennifer and her husband Dennis and Lynn. For dinner I had chicken bastela, which was spiced chicken wrapped in phylo dough and dusted with sugar and cinnamon, followed by white bean and aragula salad, steak and chocolate mousse. Dad had smoked salmon, salad, steak and apple crumble.

After dinner we had a large brandy each before going up to bed.

Day 3 - At Sea

A lovely start to your cruise. Love the photos
