Okay, how many of us nerds wear Crocs?
Bonus points if they're Disney themed.

------------------
I don't have real crocs,but JCPenney imitations.
I only got them because we were in the mall, and I was having a side effect from chemo that cause my feet to swell up and hurt when I walked. It felt like sunburn on the bottom of your feet. Right when I was at the mall, perfect timing. ;) So I'd always wanted to try crocs and bought em.
My my they're so comfy!
Hideous,but comfy.

I hate them..
They seem unacceptable to be worn outside of the house.
I really don't care how comfortable they are, they're hideous and I'd rather not see them...

I own a pair.
and I do wear them out of the house.
I think I look very cute in them.

I don't like them, they look ugle to me. No offence though.

You guys do know there are other styles right?
Not just the typical clown shoes, but flip flops and flats and other stuff.

Forgot to say that I have the clown shoe type.
=]

I love 'em and think they're cute, too. My Mickey Mouse ones are terrific, very comfortable and easy to wear, and personally I think they look pretty darn nice with my flare jeans. :thumbsup2

Anyhoo, sorry if I offend your sensibilites by wearing my Disney crocs all over town, to the mall and restaurants and public places wear they can look ugly and 'cause you strife. I just love wearing them, that's all. =)

EDIT: Yeah, I have the clown-shoe style. Black and red with little MM heads for the holes. :woohoo:

I don't like those either.. maybe if you were them at the beach, that's different, but to the mall or the movies? No..
I think they make you look like you don't know how to dress yourself properly.

When everyone first started wearing them, I hated them and thought they were ugly.
Now they've grown on me and I don't think they are really ugly anymore.
I personally only like the flip flops. Athens I think? My friends have a pair of those and I liked them.
Although I might actually pick up a pair of regular disney ones next time at WDW just to wear around at home and to say I have them.

Well... actually, I don't. You should've seen the outfit I wore around WDW one day last September (not in the parks)-- it might have given you a serious conniption. Think along the lines of one overly large yellow t-shirt, a pair of grey thrift-store shorts, also ill-fitting and that my mom swears are men's shorts, and the aforementioned Crocs.

So saying I have no fashion-sense isn't unexpected. :D

They're just wrong.

Who had the idea to make PLASTIC CLOGS WITH HOLES IN THEM...?!

Even clogs would be a fashion no no. xD

Lee Valley had them in the catologues four years ago, maybe even before then. They were called "Holey shoes". Do you know what they are used for?
Gardening. Yes, gardening, not shopping! How hard it is to keep it that way?
Who's idea was it.. to wear those shoes out of their backyard, take the design, change it, call them "Crocs"(***?) and sell them.

^That's what my mom bought her first pair for. They were a knock-off pair, blue, that she got after hearing everyone talking about them on the DIS and thinking that they'd be good for working outside (which they are).

Even I bought some... way before they were popular, I love Lee Valley. It is my favourite store that isn't for clothes.

Weighing a mere 7 ounces (200 grams), with cushioned soles and vent holes for air circulation, these clogs make you feel like you are walking on air. Molded from a high-quality closed-cell foam, they have a well-cushioned foot-bed that nicely supports the arch, toe and heel. The massaging insole promotes blood circulation and closed-cell resin construction makes them buoyant and bacteria-resistant.

They will cling to your feet without the need to curl your toes, yet are easy to slip on and off. Just hose them down when they get dirty. Made to fit loosely for maximum air circulation, and with non-slip treads, they are a great warm-weather gardening clog that also adapts nicely to camping, cottaging and summer activities in general. We tested less expensive models, but preferred the superior support, cushioning, massaging insole and anti-slip treads of these clogs.

She also heard that when they were new, the biggest market or them was with people involved in water sports, like windsurfing and water-skiing. Makes sense.

I agree with the heel ones, but I've seen a lot of people wearing the Mammoth Crocs and I don't think they look as bad.
