I would just like to thank all the posters on here that recommended Crocs as the shoes to wear around Disney.

I have just returned from my 5th trip to Disney from the UK and this is the first time I have not suffered with my feet. I gave in and purchased a pair of crocs from ebay for this visit and it was the best thing I have ever done!

No sore tired feet and NO blisters!!!

I have tried trainers and a brand called Fly Flots(these absolutely crippled me) but nothing beats crocs!!

Thanks everyone and here is to my next trip in September 06 (if my hubby lets me) if not, cant wait until the 27 Jan 07!!!

as a fellow manc i was wondering if you bought them from someone in Britain? Also which crocs did you go for?I like the look of the flip flop variety.

Glad to hear your feet feel so good! I can't wait to wear mine at Disney - they are pretty much all I wear now. :teeth:

I was the first to wear Crocs in my family. I kept telling everyone how comfortable they are and now everyone from my parents to my Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, etc. have Crocs ( thanks to Costco ) :thumbsup2

I can't wait to wear them to WDW this July. I'm still trying to convert my DH....I think Crocs are fab....he thinks they are drab :teeth:

Aloha,
Jen

HI 'fellow manc'

I bought them from Ebay UK - brand new. They were the 'Cayman' style. You can wear these as flip flops or with the strap across the back.

Fab!!

I saw lots of people - but mostly kids - wearing crocs at the world on our last trip the beginning of may.

They do not look comfortable. I tried on a pair at a store once and they did not feel comfortable.

I do not understand.

I love crocs! i bought two pair a couple of weeks ago (the BRIGHT ORANGE and the grey) they are wonderfull on your feet. Unfortunately, there are banned from my office but you can still wear them and change in to office shoes-
I wear them all weekend. I will be bringing those and walking shoes to the parks. :cool1:

:rotfl: Anytime I saw anyone wearing those Butt-Ugly shoes, last weekend, I would yell out "CROCS." :lmao:

I love my crocs too, Ive got to say that my feet were grand all through the world except Epcot. What is it about Epcot, no matter what shoe I wear my feet are begging to die by the time I hit World Showcase half way around the lagoon.
I love my crocs and wear them to work all the time ( Im a manager at a Old Navy, 9 hours on a cement floor) and they are great.

The ones I have now are getting old and are just plain black. I think its almost time for a second pair, of course the question now is... What colour?

DO the 'generic' crocs ( payless, wal-mart...) feel as comfortable as the real deal? So many have posted about their feet being hot and sweaty...but I thought about getting ann inexpensive pair for our AK day, Kali and no matter what time of year, we get rained on there...any knock off brands that are just as comfy? I did slip a pair on at payless, but my toes hit the end of the size 9, and the size 10 was too big and wide...what is this talk about 'BAKING' your Croc's? :confused3

Some people say the look alikes are not comfortable...the WalMart ones are stiff...but ok for just around town and the house and such. They also come in Lime Green! The Airwalks (look like crocs) from Payless are pretty comfortable in my opinion.

Do you wear them with or without socks? If no socks then don't your feet get sweaty? no blisters? Also are they for women only or do they sell men"s styles?

I wear mine with socks when it's cooler outside, and without socks when it's warmer. I've never gotten blisters and my feet don't get sweaty. I can't attest to the knock-offs from Wal-Mart etc., since I've never bought them. I have tried them on in the store, and they didn't feel as comfortable as real Crocs to me. Real Crocs are not made of plastic, but some other resin material that doesn't make your feet sweaty. They're loose on your feet and have all those holes, so the air actually circulates better than a regular pair of shoes.

Crocs are for women, men and children. I wear mine all the time, my four kids wear theirs all the time (I won't let them wear them to church on Sunday, or else it would be 7 days a week!), and I've managed to get DH to agree to a pair for Disney--he thinks they're ugly but he has so many foot problems he's willing to try them to avoid the agony from walking all day.

My recommendation is to go to crocs.com and find a local retailer. Go try a pair on, and feel the material. The cost isn't much ($30) compared to a pair of Nikes, New Balance, or other fancy walking shoe. It's worth spending the money to try them out. The vast majority of people are so thrilled with the comfort, they forget how ugly they once thought the Crocs were!

Got the Payless airwalks and I love them. Ive tried on Crocs and they are slightly more firm than the airwalks. I got the 9 and they were too small, got a 10 and put them in dryer for a few minutes (dont do it too long), and then wore them around. Much better. I love them. Ive been wearing them off and on since March and the soles are starting to wear down. Going to get another pair (at least!) and maybe give real Crocs a try. I do think they are a little hot when its very warm out- but I hate having my feet covered when its hot anyway. Love the airwalks--really cushy! Ive tried on Walmart ones and I think Meier, and they were not nearly as comfortable. Id do either real Crocs, or the Payless ones.
