Crocs help - "sort of" budget

I need a pair of white shoes for/by tomorrow. I have a pair of pearl* Crocs with a pink strap that are going to have to do - but I need to get rid of the strap. It comes off, right? HOW?

*Yes, I know pearl isn't exactly white. It's going to have to do - I'm not going out and spending money!

My friend took her strap off and she wasn't able to put it back on. Did you know you can get white canvas Ked-type shoes at Wal Mart for $3?

I didn't know that - thanks! But I'm not going to need to put the strap back on, either. Cotton candy pink really isn't my color but I got the shoes on sale. I'm fine wearing them with no strap - it's how I wear all my Crocs.

So, okay, I'm impatient. I cut the straps off, and just left little circles of pink that my jeans will cover.

if you pull the strap, you will notice the hole as you pull. Then pull it again and try to get it over the rivit.
