Not sure if i'm posting on the right thread, but has anyone worn the crocs flip flops in the parks? are they comfortable? I tried some on in Sports Experts today and they seem comfortable, but I haven't quite committed to spending $35 on flip flops!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

My DD and I wore them last August and we loved them. I didn't think I was a flip flop person until last summer. I alternated between the Teva Mush flip flops and the Crocs. Both are very comfortable, but I ended up wearing the Crocs more often.

I have a pair of the Crocs flip flops, otherwise known as their Crocs Athens.I wore my flip flops to WDW on the first day it rained and made them very slippery to walk in....I even got a small blister on my toe, I lovwe these for everyday wear, they might be ok if it doesn't rain. But from now on I rely on goo old Nike's. JMHO

I love my Croc flipflops at home, but for that much walking, I stick to my ugly old faithful original Croc's. I tried my flipflop Croc's once, but got a blister.

DH, DS and I all wore the Crocs flip flops last year. No problems for any of us. I will say though that we "rotated" shoes each day for the most part. Myself, for example, one day Crocs flip flops, next day "foam" Nike flip flops, next day Nike tennis shoes, etc.

My chick and I both wore our newly bought crocs athens last summer. They were comfy, but the material is very slippery with dry feet, so after a while it starts chaffing your feet. I would definately switch off and on with sneakers or another nice pair of flip flops (Reefs).

I bought them so I'd have something to put on if it rained. I brought my sneakers with orthotics for everyday walking because of my plantar fasciitis. Well it turns out my feet were horribly sore with the sneakers and when I switch to the Athens...... no more pain. Nothing. The whole 8 full days of walking. That was in Sept and now it's April and I still wear them everyday.

Thanks for all the advice, but I'm still not sure what to do!
I guess I can try them out, but definitely bring my running shoes too.

Have you looked at the new styles? there are more flip/flop styles now especially if like me you have issues with something between your toes.
I have to find something that will love my feet since last trip I was in pain the whole time till I borrowed my sons crocs- they saved my feet and my trip!

I wore the Athens last year with no problems except the CM at Soarin' making me leave them on the floor :( . When we went to US/IOA and MK for MNSSHP I wore a variety of shoes. I think I wore those on the wet days (IOA). I just bought the new Cleo's in Chocolate/pink and white/celery and think they may work out better with no thong between the toes.

Laura21: Croc has started to make a new flip flop that fits snugger to the foot than the athens does, I think it's called the "Crete" or something lke that. Dicks sporting goods carrys them. My son wore the Athens every day of our 8 day trip last Oct. and never had any problems, My self I prefer the reg. Crocs. I noticed that the Athens did become slippery as stated above, and they also make a very annoying squeeking sound when wet.i have not tried the new one out but they look like they would be better fitting than the Athens( which always feel like they are going to fall off). i think they are $35. or some were around there. If you go on to the Budget Boards, you can find a thread to crocs that has discount code on it. Or just check out Shoebuy.com they seem to be very reasonbale and have free shipping and returns.

DD wore her AVP Crocs flip flops even on days when I thought it was way too cold last December. She loved them and had no problems. She has poor arches and plantar fascitis and said she thought these were much more comfortable than her athletic shoes with the orthotics in them. Poor kid is only 15 and is already falling apart so shoes are very important to her.

Im one of those that love my crocs! A 8 day trip in July thats all I wore all day every day. Those were the athens. I just purchased the capri flip flops. They are one of the new styles. They have a traditional leather (i think) thong and straps rathar than the same rubbery material as the sole. I think they are more comfortable. They are a snugger fit and they look more girlie because of it (if you can imagine what i mean). I also have the traditional crocs and the MJ's and am waiting for my sassari's to come in. What can I say I am a croc adict. I can't wait for my dicks to get the capri's in so i can get more. lol. so in general I recomend crocs of any style because they are equally comfortable!

These are the Cleo's, http://shop.crocs.com/pc-110-4-cleo...=41p&subsectionname=footwear&section=products

I tried the Capri's but my Dillard's didn't have a 7 in the khaki/chocolate. Do you have Dillard's where you live? I totally despise the store but they have a better selection than our Dick's.

I wear my Crocs Scutes all day. They have the same cushioned base as the Crocs Athens, but have a strap across instead of being thongs. Both styles have more cushioning under the heels than the regular Crocs.

I wore my Athens Last May when we went to the park for 8 days. In the past I always came home with several blisters and aching feet but not this time:thumbsup2 I would not trade my Athens for anything! I didn't get one blister and my feet were not sore. Needless to say I will be wearing them back in May:banana:

I love my athens (and another pair should be arriving for me any minute! :thumbsup2 ), but am hesitant to wear them all day at WDW. They are so comfy like pillows, though... :thumbsup2

yippee, they're here! :teeth: charcoal/cotton candy...so cute!

After hearing all the croc hype I purchased a pair of Athens and decided to wear them around the house to see what they were like. You really can't tell much from trying them on at the store IMO. Within a few hours I was sore between my toes where the thong part connects, otherwise the bottoms themselves were very comfy. They are awfully loose and flippy, but then I think they are supposed to be that way. Is there a break in period for them or is this the way they will always feel? I definitely wouldn't wear mine around the parks, but I would try another style in hopes of finding something that is better for my foot. Any recommendations?

i recieved my capri's in the mail a few weeks ago. this week its finally been warm enough for me to get some miles on them...i love them. as for looks i like them better than my athens. as i have already said i wore my athens on a 8 day trip every day. i won't be making a trip to the world till 08 so i won't be trying this pair of capris there soon but maybe ill have to make a day trip to like dorney or something just to try them.
