Croc lovers...Question??

I just bought a pair of the 'Professionals' at Shoe Station http://www.shoestation.com/shoestation/dept.asp?dept_id=3199
Professionals are like Metros but look a bit more streamlined. I'll let ya'll know how they hold up in the parks.

Has anyone tried the Crocs Socks. They are on the website and are little anklets and match the shoes.

They also have some funky tri-colored socks as well (I fear a little to bold for me thou).


At 6.99-7.99 a pair I would like to hear some feed back before ordering.

I do have a pair of the plain white crocs socks. I wore them all day yesterday with my crocs - today I am wearing regular ankle socks. I cannot tell you why - but I prefer how everything felt with the crocs socks - LOL! Probably wasn't any help at all HUH?

I mostly wore Crocs (Cayman) on our October trip. I loved them!

* Sizing - I wear from a 7 1/2 to an 8 1/2 depending on shoe and type. I ordered the size 8 Cayman model, and they were a perfect fit.
* I wear mine both with and without socks. It ended up being pretty chilly the week we were in FL, and I was surprised how much i liked them with socks. Never had a problem with sweating or anything.
* I wore them all day every day for walking around the parks. Definitely something I recommend and will do in the future.

Your inserts don't slip around or move?

Another question for anyone...what is a good color to get that will match with most outfits. Not trying to be mean, but these shoes aren't the cutest.

My inserts would in NO WAY fit into crocs. They're designed by my podiatrist, and are really ugly and medical-looking, so need a deeper shoe/sneaker to hold them.

The inserts I USED to wear were very flat dr.scholl type, and those are more flexible and low-profile. Those would probably fit better, although using any insert with a molded footbed shoe sort of defeats the purpose of a molded-footbed shoe, IMO.

I like the less noticeable colors as well. I find the navy and the black to be the subtlest of the crowd. I tried the khaki...it's just ugly and mud-colored. I wear them to work sometimes when I'm going to be playing in the mud (no-hole variety). And the Professional (no holes on top, only on side) have a less playful look than the holey ones, more like regular clogs.

And I agree with all who says they get very slippery once they start to wear down...invest in a new pair before you kill yourself!

I love the fit and styling of the Croc socks! Have a white, a blue, and a black pair. Bought my DD17 a pink pair (although she wouldn't be caught dead in Crocs! ). They don't bunch, or twist, are light and absorbent, fit closely without binding. I almost like the socks better than the shoes! I wear them with my other shoes as well.

I think the Khaki match alot of stuff. I would say it depends if you are black or brown lover. I wear alot of brown so I like the chocolate ones.

My first pair of Crocs were the khaki...they went with everything and people DID NOT stare at them. The second pair I bought were the lime green and boy did folks stare and I'd hear whispered remarks...not that it bothered me, but I'd had the khaki ones for 6 mos. and not a peep from anyone.

I bought the Holey Soles in a moss green, which go well with most of my clothes. The last pair I bought are chocolate brown which look really nice with everything in my closet.

I've seen the black in both Crocs and Holey Soles and they would be a good choice, or as another poster said, the navy blue. If you go to the websites you can see the color choices, although sometimes they aren't accurate representation of what you see in person. Here are the links if you're interested...

I just got my Crocs Professionals today!
They're a lot like Metro's with closed tops and holes on the sides. I ordered Pearl White and was a bit surprised that they're really not white but rather a bone color. That's fine with me, as I'm going to wear them with Khaki's anyway. A note on size... they're very true to size like the Aspens. I wear an 8 1/2 to 9 (depending on the style) and the Croc's 9's are just about as snug as I'd like them. The 8's would have been way too small.

I just got my Croc professional today as well. i also wear an 8.5-9 and I ordered the 9. Most 9's are a bit loose but these are quite snug. I probably should have ordered the 10. i hope they stretch a bit.

What color did you get? Mine are pearl white (actually light tan) and I'm crazy about them so far!

Someone else posted about throwing them in the clothes dryer for a few minutes and then putting them on hot. It seems to mold them to your feet. Be careful about walking too much on them while they're hot... it squishes the treads on the bottom a bit and can make the strap too long.

I did run into a nurse that told me she has some and it took her about two weeks before she fell in love with hers and now she is wild about them. I wore them without socks while in the house and my feet did start to sweat. I put socks on before going out and my feet are still dry. My right foot is slightly bigger than my left, so that is the really snug one. My trip is in 2 weeks. So I will wear them daily and try the dryer trick. Mine are black. I thought I would choose a neutral color to wear with jeans and if I like them, get a few others. The professionals are suppose to be a bit smaller or streamlined than the beach, so i hope I still get the same benefits. My hubby thinks they make my feet look small- which is a comment i've never gotten before.

Okay , it's a new day AND I wanted to make sure anyone that is thinking about crocs knows this- if yours are a little snug or feels a bit hard on the bottom- Do put them in the dryer for 5 minutes (I wrapped mine in a sweatshirt first and had a few towels in there too) then put them on. Wow- they stretched out perfectly and they are now much more comfortable. I'll give a report when I get back on the 9th. Glad I read this thread tho. I never would have thought of using the dryer and it really did the trick.

Anyone with foot problems wear these? I have plantar fasciitis and my feet start to bother me pretty quickly, unless I am wearing my ortho inserts. Just wondering...

I have the same problem. I have the Aspen (no holes anywhere) for work and I have not had a problem. I also have the Cayman (holes on top) love those too. I currently wear mine with socks; the Aspen tend to get a little warm but I bought some socks that "wick" away the moisture. My DM64 had a khaki pair wiht holes for WDW. She wore them with very low cut socks and capri pants and shorts and she looked fine. She loves hers, said her feet and legs never got tired.

I agree with your nurse friend. I'm an x-ray tech and everyone at the hospital was wearing them. I bought my first pair around August and did not immediately love them. I almost thought I had made a mistake in buying them. I have always worn New Balance tennis shoes to work before the Crocs. After about 2 weeks, I guess my feet just got used to them and now I won't wear ANYTHING else to work. In tennis shoes, my feet pretty much always hurt at the end of the day. Now, I can work 8, 10, even a 12 hour shift with NO PAIN. It's unbelievable.

Beware, though, as other posters have stated: When they are worn for awhile the tread on the bottom starts to rub off and they are very slippery on tile flooring when they get wet. I hadn't noticed this until yesterday and I walked in from the parking lot in the rain and almost busted it when I entered the hospital.

Ok. I got my crocs today. I have worn them around the house. I am surprised at how light and spongy they are. My feet are hot, lol. I am only going to wear them around the house...don't want to rub off the tread before my trip...& end up busting my...welll, anything!

I hope I like them as well as everyone else. BTW, my DH just laughed at me & said I looked like a Dutch girl.

I'm a big fan of Birkenstocks, sandals and clogs and find them to be equally comfortable with or without socks and have never had a problem with sweaty feet. I'm thinking about trying a pair of Crocs for my next trip in a few weeks and I've enjoyed reading your comments
