Croc Lovers... HELP ME!

last yr all i wore at WDW were the Mickey head crocs (beach with the mickeys) with shorts I received tons of complements on them!!

I wear crocs with socks and without and love them.
i wear the bistro ones at work and in the rain because of the type bottom they have! I never go sliding in the rain or on wet floors which I have the tendency to do with the other styles

I am a fashion faux par, but I have worn my mickey crocs the last two trips with shorts (and I wear little black ankle socks too)

But then again I have been known to wear a fanny pack in the past.:lmao:

I also wore my Croc flip-flops and after a few days I did need to return back to my mickey crocs because my feet started to hurt.

If you're only worried about how they'll look with shorts, never fear, nobody will notice. And if it bothers you, just don't look. ;) Seriously, if you're comfortable, that's what counts the most, you'll see all sorts of crazy fashion statements while at WDW, Crocs with shorts won't be any biggie.

Just be sure they still have tread on the bottom. You can slip really easily in the rain without it.

I like the Malindi style. Be sure to try them on first, though, as they run biiiig.

Try the mary janes or the capri flip flops. I love my capris, but I got mine when they still offered them with the canvas thong, and I don't like the new ones as much. But since you don't have the old ones to compare the new ones with, you might not care. ;) I tried the others (Patricia and Cleo, I think) but they both rubbed my feet in places.

Agree. The footbed is wonderful but I'm afraid to wear them for a long time because of the croslite thong between the toes. They might rub. I'm going to try and work them in between now and my June trip.

I've worn the original crocs and loved them but now wear cleos with my shorts and skirts. No problems and my feet feel fine at Disney.

I love my crocs. The most comfortable way for me to wear them is with socks also.
Sure, they ain't pretty. But neither are blisters.
I have a few styles. But generally I have the original Mickey cut out holes version.
That being said -- I use to wear crocs all the time (when not at work) and last year developed Planter Fasciitis.
There went my crocs in the parks days.
Now I wear a Brooks anti motion walking shoe. Not so pretty either. But it works. :hippie: Although if walking long distance several days, I would probably switch between crocs and the Brooks.
The Brooks shoes are the same many UPS delivery people wear. They stabilize your feet.

And I found when visiting here and walking a lot over multiple days, my feet always did better by switching out shoe types. (Not wearing the same every day.)

AS PP mentioned, Crocs have many styles now. But to be honest the best comfort comes from the beach or caymen shoe.
I know they are ugly, but they are so comfortable and easy on the feet when walking alot.

I say this.....They may be ugly, but how much more ugly are the blisters and limp you will have after a few days of trying to be "cute"..???

Exactly, just wear the crocs and forget what they look like. Believe me you will see ALL types of shoes....and people walking.

I think that my croc flip flops are as comfy as my regular crocs. I wore my flip flops the entire week last year and was fine.

Just be sure they still have tread on the bottom. You can slip really easily in the rain without it.

That is a good point - especially if you plan to wear the around the pool or at the water parks.

I like my mary jane crocs. Last year I took my cayman style ones - very comfortable. It seems that the mary janes are slightly thinner on the soles than the caymans but I do think they look better and yes, I will wear then with shorts (the mj's). I have just had a new pair delivered and although I will wear them around the house, I am trying to preserve the tread for our trip. Also, we always take another pair of shoes too so if we don't plan on getting wet (say an Epcot or DHS day) then we use the alternate shoes.

I like the Cleo style Croc sandals. Can't say how they compare though since I've never owned a pair of the original Crocs.

I bring 3 pairs the cleos the mary janes and this year I have the beach w/mickey shapes that I got at big lots for $10! I dont care about being fashionable at disney I care about my feet feelin good ;) I will even wear socks with crocs:scared1:

I am fascinated by this: What is the deal about wearing crocs with shorts? I don't think the mary janes/flip flops look too bad - unless there is a huge color clash.

I wear my crocs with shorts all the time at WDW . . . but I do have the Disney crocs. Maybe that's why I feel ok wearing them with shorts? :)

I fought the crocs for a long time, but like you, I can wear them for multiple days with no problem. I think they're so worth it despite the ugliness. (And the Mickey heads help a lot!)

Why don't you try them out with shorts around the house for a weekend and see how you feel/look?

Do they still sell the Mickey Crocs in the gift shops at WDW? DD got a pair the last time we were there and I was hoping we could still purchase them on our upcoming trip.
