CRO and letter(money due) letter ?

I made a reservation for March awhile back for a room only. We paid a deposit and were told balance was due upon arrival. We continue to receive letters with balance due immediately. When I call I'm told no it is not due we can pay upon arrival. The computer just generates these letters. Has this happened to you and did you just go ahead and pay or wait until check-in? Did anyone have their reservation cancelled when they were told to pay upon arrival and had received a computer generated bill?

don't worry about it. The same happened to me for my Jan. trip, and each time I called, they reassured me I could pay the balance upon checkin. No problem. I think it is just a quirk of their computer system with a room only res.

I'm so glad for your post, because the same thing has happened to me. They have assured me that I do not have to pay the remainder until I arrive. I took the CM's name just to be on the safe side.

I'm in the same boat. I called three times and all three times they said they'd send me a statement stating it was due at check-in, but each time I get the same confirmation stating it was due three weeks before arrival! Last time I called they said they couldn't send me anything stating it was due at check-in, that I had to take their word! My letter states it's due March 5th...I may go ahead and pay it to be safe.

And I was told it was a "glitch" in their system, since they're combining CRO and WDTC systems.

I always pay ahead anyways, because I'm already planning the next trip, and I want an empty credit card when I check in!

But, for "room only" CRO, balance is due upon checkin.

Thanks for the replies. I have actually called twice to check on the letters. I've gone through CRO before, but paid off the balance before the trip. Just 2 more weeks and I'll be headed to WDW and see my DD in the WDW CP.

I think disney just hopes you'll pay sooner! we had a room only for Feb which we put the deposit on for Pop. then changed it for POR...they told us the pop deposit was enough to hold the room but they kept sending us letters. we called and the CM said it was enough to hold it but disney would "rather" have the whole amount...too bad so did I, especially since I wasn't sure we would be able to go! sure enough we had to cancel and now a month later I am still waiting for my refund!

You should've gotten a refund immediately!
I've had to cancel before.
By Credit Card, should be within 3-4 days.
By check, sometimes takes a week, maybe 10 days!

You need to call and do some #@^%%& !

Do NOT get "lost" in their "system"!

Even if you pay the whole thing off ahead of time you get the full refund as long as you cancel 5 days out right???????? I thought that is what I heard.

100% REFUND!
On room only reservations that are cancelled 5 days before arrival.

Those WDTC "packages" have all those non-refundable travel insurance and cancellation policies!

One HUGE reason, I would NEVER do a package again!

hmm well guess who is going to give them a little call tomorrow! thanks for the info, I never cancelled before and got a confirmation of the cancelation but no check unless they just credited it to my account and dumb me never noticed or it isn't on the statement yet

The same thing happened to me.
They keep telling me that everything is allright, but I'm still nervous. May just pay it off ahead of time!
