Mom is still having trouble believing me that he's leaving. I pointed out that SM is on vacation while everybody else is filming the next episode. She says that doesn't mean he's leaving.

New to this thread but have been watching CM forever. I was cringing a lot during this episode too, but not for the same reason most were...mainly at the end! I really do not like DM with her, I am not one of those holding out for Penelope and him (Not that I would hate that), I just never really liked her for him.

I think if SM was leaving the show it would've been announced by now. I just did a web search and couldn't find any rumors about him leaving. Have you heard anything official?

CBS has announced Sean Weatherly is leaving NCIS. If an actor as popular as SM was leaving CM, there would be a similar outcry. I really hope Derek is happily in love with his fiancé. He makes a fuss over Penelope, but she's sooo not his type!

Tonight's episode was quite weird, actually.

Not to nitpick last night's episode, but I thought Derek's dad was white? I could swear his character was biracial. To be fair, though, I thought Danny Glover did a fabulous job--loved seeing him.

The pregnancy cue for me was when she asked for strawberry ice cream. That was a total pregnancy request. While I would be completely bummed if Shemar left the series, I would rather he transferred than they killed him off. I feel like writers kill off TV characters way too often.

While I agree with that, I really was disappointed when they didn't kill of Christina in Grey's Anatomy. That show has killed of a variety of characters in spectacular fashion. So when she just drove away I was just let down.

That's for the next two episodes. Morgan has a 3 episode story arc, with all thee of the lead actor/directors: Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, and MGG each directing an episode.

MGG already said in an interview that the actor who is leaving, (hopefully temporarily, as far as I'm concerned,) asked HIM to direct that episode. Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) co-wrote that episode.
