Hello scrappers! I need product advice...dh got me a cricut for Christmas and now that I have pried it out of my 11 year old dd's hands (and gotten her to show me how to use it! lol) I  it! But I need advice on an adhesive...I grabbed some Elmer's Memory Book Glue Pen but it gobs up and I don't like it. What do you all use?

I use the ZIG Pen. They have different types of them, I have 3 different styles that work great for the pieces cut on the Cricut.

I love the Xyron Sticker maker machine. It turns whatever you put through it into a sticker. It is so much faster than using the Zig pen (which I relied on for many years). You can get it at Michaels, Joann's etc. with a coupon. Sooooooooooo worth it!

I use a Zig pen for small pieces and lettering. I also use Elmer's glue sticks for attaching photos to layouts.

Hi Jennifer!!! It's about time you got your butt back here! :rotfl2:

Anyway, another vote for Zig pens. You can find them at Mike's and ACM.

Is this "tough love?" :lmao:

Thanks! I'll have to go and get one.:thumbsup2

Do you guys ever do a scrap challenge like the exercise challenge? Commit to x number of pages in a month? Just curious - I need some motivation!

Yeah, tough love!!! Add the steps from the gym to the scrap room in your daily exercise challenge! Hey, I can justify anything!! LOL

We have a monthly and annual challenge. Some of us set a goal for the month others just post how many pages we did.
here is January's challenge

Then StitchIsOurHero and I tally the pages for every month and add them to the annual thread.

lol to an 8 count "and cut and tape and journal and close"

I forgot that I have glue dots! :headache: I'll have to check those out too - I really need to go through my stuff.

:rotfl2: I am the exact opposite. I used the sticker maker for years and recently switched to the zig pens. I got tired of cleaning up the endless glue boogies.

The boogies make me crazy! That's why I love the zig pens.

glue dots are good for big stuff, even a tape runner but you need the fine tip pen and a good pair of tweezers for the small stuff.

Apparently I use a Zig pen as well....I only know this because I just went into my scrap room and checked. :rotfl: All I really knew was that I bought it at Walmart last year. I am pretty sure I bought it at Walmart....now I am not even sure of that. ;)

Zig pen, xyron (right now I only have an X, but I want to get a larger one), glue dots, pop dots and mono adhesive. It really depends on the size and shape of your die cuts.

I found the zig pens at Wal-mart yesterday!:woohoo:I was excited that they were only $2.50 so I bought both kinds. Actually I didn't know they were "zig" so I grabbed both kinds and said to dd "well these look good but I wish I could find the zig pens." She said "Um Mom it says Zig right there!":rotfl: Love them!
