I was talking to a owner of a scrapbooking store, asking her if she has used a Cricut? She said another customer of hers doesn't like the one she has. She was showing me the Cuttlebug. Way cheaper, so now I don't know.:confused3

They're really 2 different machines.

I have never heard of anyone being upset with their cricut if they were willing to put in the 30 minutes to read and learn about it. Esp if they have internet access - so many people with them on the forums.

It really depends on what you want to use it for & how often you recycle your embellishments. If you want to use it for titles, the $$$ will really add up on the dies if you buy the cuttlebug. While the cricut cartridges are not cheap, you have more options and it is less time intensive (once you use it once or twice).

I just got the Cricut expressions :thumbsup2 and well after playing with it and a few mistakes I have to say I love it. I have made a few small items but can't wait to help DD,DD or DS with projects in school . We are also looking forward to using it on more scrapbook pages. It does take time to get use to the machine but I am very happy with it :yay: . I was choosing between that and the sizix (SP) machine and just thought the cricut was a better idea for us. I don't really know about the other machine though.

I don't have the cricut, went with the cuttlebug instead because I already have a bunch of quickutz and sizzlets. I can use them all in my cuttlebug. :) I really like the cuttlebug. :) maggie

I have both and use them for different things- I don't have any cuttlebug alphabets but I do have a cartridge with an alphabet on it. At the same time I also have a craftrobo pro and get any new scrap toy I want- I like both of the machines but after the first time I would have to say that the cricut and cuttlebug are both just as easiy to use but I can leave the cricut cutting and do other things but I have to do the work when using the cuttlebug. At the same time I love the cuttlebug embossing capabilities and have used them for swaps.

I love my Cricut!

I do want a Cuttlebug with Disney dies though :thumbsup2

I have a Cuttlebug, but really want to get a cricut. I've used my friends and really like being able to change the size of the font. The cuttlebug is nice as far as the size and price and everything, but I don't know if that makes up for the freedom of doing exactly what you want to do with the Cricut.

I have a cricut expression, a craft robo (This one hooks up to my computer) and the cuttlebug. I use them all for different things and I love them all. My daughter (3) is in love with both my cricut and my cuttlebug (she loves to help and only does supervised). I love that the cuttlebug embosses and uses pretty much any die. I love the freedom the expression gives me to just walk away and pick other paper or whatever while it's cutting.

A little OT, sorry-but have you seen the CuttleKids? My DS (4) also loves to play with my Cuttlebug w/help, so I decided to get him this little thing for Easter. I hope it's easy enough for him to use on his own..I guess we'll see.
