I went to QVC.com and looked at this. So it's different than our current Cricut, because it prints, but it's not the same as the Expression that's coming out and is 12 x 24?
Can I use my other Cricut cartridges in it and get it to print and cut? I'm very confused!

That is the impression I am getting from the Cricut message boards. Apparently, the admin on those boards was going to explain more in depth, but I haven't seen any updates this evening.
Please....please,please say it isn't so! I just bought my Cricut after obsessing over it on these boards. After I used it once, to cut out some tags, my first thought was...." Man, I wish this thing would print my journaling on the tags!" Now I am going to wish that I had waited to buy the new one!
Nevermind....I just answered my own question. I went over to the Circut message boards, and according to the people posting there and have called Provo Craft directly, it appears that the "pens" that will be used in the Circut 2 will fit in the original Circut along with all the new carts. According to customer service at Provo Craft, they will be releasing replacement "pens" in July. Of course, this is all alot of he said/she said, so we will see what happens.
Oh, Annakris1973 I am so glad you wrote about this. My sister and I have been wondering if we could just get the pens to go with the cricut's we already have. We have been glued to QVC all day and that was our BIG question. I certainly hope this is going to happen
Cricut:
There has been some confusion about a Cricut bundle currently available on QVC. Some people have read on the QVC site about a "Cricut II." Lets be very clear--it is a second bundle or "offer" with QVC and not, repeat, it is NOT a new machine. (This is not referring to Cricut Expression, nor is Cricut Expressions a part of this offer.) The "second" exclusive QVC Cricut bundle will include the regular first generation Cricut, with some color modification; it will have green highlights on the shell.
Included with the machine are:
1 - Set of pastel inks (Rose, Tide Pool, Thistle, Kiwi, Butter, Cocoa, and Black Raven). All but Black Raven are exclusive to QVC.
2 - Cartridges: Cuttin Up (exclusive to QVC) & Printing Press.
Inks or markers expand the possibilities and versatility of the Cricut. Youll be able to use the cartridges to draw your favorite shapes! Cricut Color inks will be shown at this summer's CHA show in Chicago. We will have more details (colors, sets, individual availability, etc.) at that time.
So, it is the same machine. They are just selling an ink cartridge (as part of the bundle) to replace the cutting blade, and it will draw any of the font or shapes from your cartridge. It will NOT (like I was thinking) print smaller journaling on the shapes. I am sure you can experiment with putting 1" words on 3" shapes...I am just not Cricut=savvy enough to do that yet. Maybe by the time the "pens" are available for public release.
I read on the cricut MB yesterday that someone used the crayola pipsqueak markers in her machine and those worked too. She had to rubberband the blade housing shut though which is kind of nerve racking. I was at the toy store last night so I bought some pipsqueaks to try it out.
