by the way what are venture pics???

A particularly unique photography style by a national company called Venture Photography.
They take photos of your family in a natural environment, so no posing and false smiles etc etc.
They also know how to charge.....the single frame I mentioned earlier that contains 7 shots cost me about £850.

Hiya All

Well as promised a report on how l got on with the store manager. He took all the details down, copied the cashiers number off my till receipt and in a nut shell told me he would speak to her regarding taking my cc out of my sight. He wanted to take my cc details to ring the authorisation company to check whether she had rang them or not but l wouldnt give it to him. He's promised to get back to me on Thursday with a progress report after speaking to the member of staff and also asked me what l felt would be a satisfacty conclusion to this l told him i dont wish for anyone to loose their job over this but maybe procedures could be amended. We'll see lol

Trons - yeah our Venture pics were relatively cheap compared to what you paid, we only had them for the sideboard but even still, it was alot. l wanted the combined colour & black and white pics but they were only available for the wall art

Even the cheapest ones I thought were a rip off to be honest.

Its a nice idea to use them as a signature though, Im going to see if I can get anything decent off my online venture galery to use as my own tag for a while.

I have found their website, and they have an offer on at the moment, £25 instead of £125 but it looks like you get one photograph.

Yeah you do Jeanette, thats what we paid. The £25.00 is for the sitting. The pic you get is tiny, i think its 10"x8" but when they do the presentation of your pic's with comfy chairs and soft music playing in the background l'll guarantee you wont leave without parting with an large amount of money We went to have the sitting as a Christmas present for my parents but they would of worked out too expensive for gifts, so instead we bought the ones we liked and asked my parents along to the sitting and they ended up buying some too lol There's no denying that the pics they take are fantastic and nothing like your normal portrait photographers but you do have to pay for it

Re Venture - great photos on your sig

We got a free sitting and little picture by signing up in a shopping centre. DD was only 2 but had a great time running round in her Snow White dress.

I nearly cried at the display - the pictures were so beautiful (and expensive!) Loved the big multipic ones but luckily(?) we didn't have the wall space or budget. Ended up with another small one for DH's desk at work.

Molly looked at the photo the other day and asked to go back. She thought it was great fun running, jumping, playing with ballpool balls and having a teaparty
