Thanks for following! I am trying to deuce what we should be DS is a very picky preschooler & he's not a big fan of dress up or costumes so 90 percent of it is what I can talk him into.

This morning I woke up at 6 am with a total game changer on the mind Chef Mickeys Brunch!!! I thought it would be a good idea to snag one since we will be just a sky bridge away from it. I grabbed a 11:35 am on September 15th before MNSSHP... We still have that dinner ressie & our Ohanas ressie. Will we keep any of them ? All of them ( that would be a pretty gross amount of eating!!) ?

I have no idea... Game Changer.

We also booked a CM brunch, 11:35 on 9/18 (DD's 3rd b-day! and our departure day). DD5 isn't happy because it means no Ohana breakfast.

Sooo somehow my post about my awesome plans got deleted... or half of it... Anyways... It was pretty longwinded anyways.

So looong story short.

9/13 leave Manchester at 9:30 am arrive at MCO at 12:15pm. Magical Express.Pick up stroller rental Grab lunch at Kidani pool and Dinner at 5pm at Saana. After dinner more swimming and then bed early.
9/14 Up by 6am pack up room and park bag. Check out of Kidani and head to Epcot on bus by 8:00am. Hoping to arrive by RD and ride TT, Nemo,Character Spot, Figment,Living with the Land, and Soarin. Lunch at Via Napoli at 12pm and then Space Ship Earth on the way out. head over to BLT to check in by 3:00pm. Relax at BLT from 4:00-7:00. Then head over to Contemporary for Pirates and Pals Cruise.

9/15 Relaxing Morning. Breakfast in room, pool at BLT. until 1pm. Brunch at Chef Mickey's at 2pm. Then walk on over to MK for MNSSHP! I am so excited! We went ( just H and I ) in 2009 and had a great time as a childless couple. We plan to ride a few rides, and take DS trick or treating and see the early parade and fireworks. Mom is going to take DS back to the room to bed after the fireworks and H and I are planning to stay until the end and see how many times we can ride Space Mountain or other rides walk on!
9/16 Another relaxing morning. We actually have no plans ( so far) until 5pm for our ADR at San Angel Inn. Plan is to lounge around, maybe hit the pool, then hit Epcot for a few FP plusses ( to finish future world) and then tour the World Showcase after dinner. DM doesn't mind taking DS back to the room early if he is tired, so H and I can stay for Illuminations.
9/17 LAST PARK DAY MK at RD for EMH. Planning to spend the whole day at MK with a pool break and then back to see Electrical Light Parade and maybe Wishes again. We have a 10:35 " brunch" reservation at My Mom's pick Crystal Palace this morning. I figure we can tour EMHs eat while the crowds pour in and then use our FP plusses after. I plan to book a 4th before we leave for the pool and then ride and see the night time shows one more time before we say goodbye.
9/18 ME should pick us up by 11:00am so the plan is to pack up, get a CS breakfast and play at the pool for about an hour before we have to catch our flight back to MA. SADDEST DAY EVER!

It's a short trip, but I am doing all the things I really want to do with PLENTY of pool and relaxing time. Best part of owning DVC for me is knowing I will be back in at least 18 months if not sooner!!

We stayed at BLT in 2013 and looooooved it beyond belief!!! So awesome just being able to walk back to our room from MK!

This is the first time I have EVER not purchased hoppers. However the last time we went with DS and the inlaws we never used the hoppers ....total waste. The time before we went with DS & DM we hopped ONCE and it was a mistake. DS does not like the heat and needs a WHOLE BUNCH of pool time. So our plans are centering around our favorite parks, and the pools. I am going to have some disney giftcards on hand jic I need to add a hopper on at the end of the day.

I was going back and forth about PH's too this past trip. Mainly because we know that, for us, DHS is not a full park day so we wanted that option of having the PH's and not having to be 'stuck' at DHS. Not getting PH's does save money for sure!

Your first day sounds really relaxing! I STILL, after 5 trips, have not done pool time One day i'll learn to slow down and have a down day to relax and chill. I'll plan it for 2020

Yay to alone time at night on 9/15!! :hyper That is always fun, being able to have a date night. We were able to get 2 date nights out of this last trip, thanks to DM wanting to stay behind in the villa.

DS made pool time a MUST for us. We were park commandos before he came along. Now we are taking it as slow as we can... which isn't that slow.....

BIG UPDATES... BIG ONES. So many updates I just figured I would mark up my trip report with a big red pen! LOL

No updates for today, I ALMOST switched us into a one bedroom at BLT when it was available for 30 seconds like one day. but DS really was too too excited to stay at the " hotel with animals" so I didn't switch. Someone snapped it up like 30 seconds later anyways LOL
9/14 Up by 6am pack up room and park bag. Check out of Kidani and head to Epcot on bus by 8:00am. Hoping to arrive by RD and ride TT, Nemo,Character Spot, Figment,Living with the Land, and Soarin. Lunch at Via Napoli at 12pm and then Space Ship Earth on the way out. head over to BLT to check in by 3:00pm. Relax at BLT from 4:00-7:00. Then head over to Contemporary for Pirates and Pals Cruise. I was so excited about Pirates and Pals, but then I forgot to book it. I felt like a real ******* when I called to book it and it was sold out, so I tried HDDR. BINGO table for 4 at the 8pm show catagory 1. So now we will just head over on another type of boat from Contemporary at 7:00 to Ft Wilderness to go to HDDR. Everyone was so excited when I told them we LOVE HDDR especially DS.

I cancelled Chef Mickey's no one want to go this time. and I don't really love the food there. So we are just having a FULL pull day until MNSSHP! I am super excited about the party and want to make sure DS is rested and NAPS before we go over.

I will probably try for a later FP plus for Test Track this day (Grrr Tiering Grrr) just in case we don't get to it on the 14th

Anyways maybe those changes aren't so BIG, but next time I've got updates on making touring plans using touring plans ( lol) choosing a dining plan or not.. SO TORN and packing strategies and thoughts and LIST.....EEK! 1 month and 2 days until FP plus day and grocery order day and online check in day..... OMG!

So I have been STRESSING. I mean good stressing but still. Over MNSSHP costumes. Ya see I am artsy... but not craftsy ( actually I am not artsy because I HATE that word but I digress.) so making costumes was a no go for me. Now back in 2009, I attended the party with H. He was an escaped convict and I was Mulan. IT WAS HOT, and even our light and airy costumes were too hot after a few hours of touring. H and DS get really really sweaty. Like real sweaty and I don't want to deal with sweaty cranky guys all night. So what to do. I almost was going to just slap bathing suits, goggles and snorkles on them with exagerated zinc on there noses and let them go as " beach tourists" I was planning on wearing this

honestly the only way I am ever getting my bikini body back. LOL. Then DS said " I want to go as Jake." Hmmmm so a few years ago I bought this " just in case" at the 75 percent off after Halloween sale.

I thought it might fit by the time DS was into Jake. Well I was RIGHT it does and he is. But look at it. LONG PANTS. He will die. So H is thinking I can cut it off and add a new hem. Uhm I don't sew but H thinks that the iron on hem will hold it for one night. What do you guys think? Is that feasible? Possible? A really really bad idea?

Well then if I DS is going to be Jake we can all be someone from Neverland right?

So my two ideas for me are :

1) Izzy - Seems easy. Just a pink top with puffy sleeves if possible, purple capri leggings, pig tails, a pink bandana and a pixie dust pouch.
2) John Darling- This also seems ridiculously easy and cool to wear in the heat. I mean I could get a white mans oversized PJ shirt ( modify for short sleeves) dorky glasses ( have those for my Daria costume last year ) and a felt hat and umbrella. Simple right? throw a pair of shorts on under the big shirt and we are in business

Now H is obsessed with being either Sharkey or Bones? I mean that sounds fine but those costumes look HOT right?

Sooo I am trying to talk him into Smee. Smee is easy and cute.

Now for my mom?? She loooves tink but it's a pain to ride in wings right?

But what about an easy Peter Pan. I mean Marnie pulled it off ( kinda sorta) She just needs a large green tee cut up the sleeves, a brown belt, green capris and a hat right? Ooooh and a thimble. Can't forget the kiss!

Sounds super cute right and easy to get around the parks in too... Nothing ubstrusive or HOT or annoying? Other wise I will just do DS as jake and get us all custom family shirt that say " Former Lost Boy " or something. Any ideas?

Thanks for joining in! Octonauts are the best aren't they? DS loooovess Shellington. We are definitely planning to hit that dance party. Actually after using touring plans ( which I will complain more about later ) and looking at last years map we are pretty much planning to spend 3/4 of the night in Liberty Square and Frontierland. Planning to watch the first parade from there hit up that party and do all the trick or treat spots and the trail by Splash Mountain.

Exciting Stuff for September trips! BOG breakfast just got released!! I booked one for departure morning! Now we leave EARLY on Departure morning like 11:00am. So I booked the earliest I could get at 8:35. I figure we can take one last leisurely stroll up MS and then enjoy breakfast in Beasts Castle and hop on one or two rides before we have to book it back to BLT to catch the TRADGICAL EXPRESS home BOO!

MINI STORY LAND TRIP REPORT

Also we just got back from a mini trip to a local theme park called " Story Land" it is about 2.5 hours from my house in the mountains and is has been there forever, meaning DM went there as a kid, I went there as a kid, and now DS. We stayed at The Residence Inn in North Conway NH and took advantage of Story Land's " enter after 3, next day FREE" deal. The Residence Inn was awesome. 15 minutes from the park, close to shopping, restaurants and town. It was clean and quiet and the staff were super friendly. We got an awesome deal on a 2 bedroom suite ( DM was with us and she snores!) for 227.00 and it was pretty spacious. DS and I ended up sharing a bed, but he is an easy roommate. The best part was I forgot it was BIKE WEEK ( like motorcycle not bicycle ) week in NH. Now every biker I have encountered has been awesome and courteous and down right gentlemanly, but I haver heard some crazy stories about bike week. Anyways the hotel was quiet, it was all families with little kids and although it the bikers were around I had nothing but good encounters with them.

Anyways Story Land is adorable, and quaint with TONS of stuff to do, DS is a thrill ride junkie and loved that he could ride almost all the rides ( except for 1) at 40 inches. He did the log flume and the kiddie coaster like 7 times each. They also had tons of wet rides including a Kali River type ride and a water shooting ride. DS also loved the splash area with the yellow submarine kids could play in too.

The only part of Story Land I didn't love was the food. YUCK! Seriously. Not just bad theme park food but almost inedible. Next time I am packing a picnic and bringing our food into the park since it is allowed.

Anyways this park is just right for the under 5 crowd. We had an awesome time and are planning to go back with H in October for a long weekend *he had to stay home and work poor guy! *

Looks like a fun trip! Sort of reminds me of the holiday world trip we took for our oldest a birthday a few years ago. Those theme parks that have been around forever are pretty awesome!

DINING PLAN DECISIONS!!

Eeegahds!! This was a much tougher decision than I am used to. I mean it food people. FOOD is important.... YES, but it's still just FOOD

I mean Stitch begs to differ but really?

It's just that we have ONE night at AKL. Two separate reservations. A DVC membership. We could book the whole thing DDP, book one night DDDP, and then OOP the other 4 nights, we could get TIW, we could use TIW in combination with DDDP for one night. Soooo many possiblilities.... Soooo many activities

Anyways... I had to crunch some numbers, and spend some time on See Ya Reel Soon's calculator ( like a REAL long time) but anyways after I added HDDR and BOG Breakfast it became clear that DDP for the whole trip was the right choice for us. Now this makes me nervous because I can almost guarantee that having one dining plan for two reservations will somehow get screwed up on with the whole Magic Bands thing and I will be spending a few extra minutes with the staff trying to untangle the mess, but it is worth it to save a few hundred dollars.

Speaking of spending FOREVER crunching the numbers TOURING PLANS. OMGUGUYS! WTFBBQ! When I was planning back in 2011 when FP plus was still in the testing phase TP was the PLACE to be. Now it was super hard to get the program to play nice with FP plus. It was saying really * ahem * awkward stuff like ... skip the A&E FP plus and stand in line for 45 minutes at 12 pm ( uhm NO? AS IF? )

or no time for pee breaks all day but you have 160 free minutes to between CoP and the 3pm parade which you don't need to arrive for until 2:53pm ?

Anyways I ended up using it mostly to organize our MNSSHP day & touring. It was really helpful to figure out how to fit in a few rides, some trick or treating, a dance party, the first parade the castle show, the fireworks before DS gets too tired to party on

So soon we will be onto packing lists. Packing for a split stay could be an awfully BIG adventure?

yes vintage theme parks are the best. Just the right amount of nostalgia and old school Americana. LOVE IT!
