Crazy stories at disney world

we have considered charging for rides...people are in throwing money away mode at Disney. Only problem - I'm pretty sure there may be a law against unlicensed transport of passengers...and am sure I signed away that right with my rental agreement. Still we have thought about letting them get on the bus then asking them what the heck do they think they are doing.

My wife and I were at Animal Kingdom last September, and had just fininshed the back stage safari tour.
We decided to get something to eat, so we headed over to the Flame tree BBQ.
After we got our food, we went over to get the condiments, and my wife went to get some BBQ sauce for her pulled pork. She stood behind this couple while waiting for them to finish, and we both noticed the guy had TWO gallon size ziplock bags, and he was emptying the BBQ sauce into both bags.
He was going from one pump to the other pumping away, oblivious to the fact people were behind him watching. I can only hope both bags broke open on his way home!

I have to tell this one about my friend and I's dinner at Boma, it's more ME being a little stupid but, here goes...

My friends first trip to DW and it was free dining, booked lots of nice restaurants and that night it was Boma. We had split up, him at the buffet line and me already back at the table. I can see him getting my attention from across the room and discretely pointing to a table where a young lady and what appeared to be two businessmen were sitting. He was mouthing something to me I could not understand, I thought he was saying 'they really know how to 'cook here.' And I'm mouthing back, 'yes, it's really good' and giving him the thumbs up.:thumbsup2 He'd shake his head and say it again and I'd go 'yea, it they really have good 'cooks here.' When he got back to the table he told me what he was really saying! I won't say it here but what he was mouthing across the room rhymes with 'cooker' as in 'she's a cooker.':rotfl2: Later we saw her showing the two 'businessmen' a brochure of her friend she was going to call to join them later. I guess being at Disney still doesn't insulate you from the 'real world.'

Sometimes stuff just really goes over my head...:sad2:

We love to visit Disney the last week of June, first week of July.

Needless to say, it is hot n sweaty that time of year.

It was brutally sunny and humid, about 3 pm in the afternoon and we were at AK in the African village near the bathrooms where we witnessed the mother of all meltdowns.

A family of 4, Mom was quite large, very flushed , very upset for some unknown reason and she was going off on Dad, just screaming and hitting him right in the middle of the street in front of everyone including her kids. Absolutely the most shocking thing to see.

Needless to say, we have redoubled are efforts ever since to make sure that we leave the parks early afrenoon and return to opur resort pool to cool down and relax.

May have been in the middle of a Disney induced due to humidity/crowds heat stroke!:eek:

I hope it was, either way they were really strict on who was allowed to enter the boutique and making sure you werent taking pictures of other peoples kids and what/who your filming.

I'll vouch for that. When DD10 was in there this past July, she didn't want me in her face with the video camera so I filmed from a distance. I was asked at least twice by the CM's "do you have a princess here?" They were very polite, though.

My Dsis (9 at the time) peeked into the BiB at Downtown Disney and were asked by several CM's if we were waiting for someone. I explained we were looking at it (I was trying to talk her into doing it, but she saw some little girl glitzed out like Hannah Montana and balked) but they were right on top of us within a minute or so. They were also polite about it.

This past Aug my family and I (and when I say family I mean it, 12 of us) were at the world for a week. My cousin and I booked a make over for my daughter and niece at the BBB at MK.

We get there early to check in, my wife, daughter, cousin, her boyfriend, and my
niece are walking in front of me while I record everything around me with my camcorder about a minute into my recording, a CM runs up to me, stops me from recording and asked me if I had an appointment. I didn't think anything of it, I answered
yes and pointed at my daughter and niece and let her know that I was there with them. A few minutes later another guy (he was by himself) walked in with a camcorder trying to get video of the boutique, he was quickly stopped and asked if he had an appointment or was with someone already getting a makeover, he answered "NO" and was asked to leave. So
this got me wondering.....

My daughter and niece get called in and their make overs begin, I of course am recording every single step of this! I decide to head over to where my niece was to get some footage of her and was quickly stopped by the CM giving her the makeover and
asked me if I knew the little girl, "Of course I do" I told her "She's my niece!", the CM asked my cousin if that was true which she confirmed. So now Im curious and ask the CM why I keep getting stopped from filmming in here.

The CM begins to tell us a chilling story....She said a few months back there was a little girl that had gotten separated from her parents not to long after her make over. She said the little girl was about 5, with long blonde hair. The parents notified security and the search was on. Well about 30 min after the little girl was reported lost, a CM saw a couple having trouble with their daughter. The man was trying to calm the little girl down cause she wouldn't stop crying and yelling. The CM walked up to the couple and asked the man if the little girl was OK, and if they needed assistance. The man assured the CM that the girl was just fussy cause it was hot so they were gonna head back to the room and rest, the CM thinking nothing of it just told them to have a nice day. As the cast member was turning away she noticed a few strands of blonde hair on the little girl. Turns out that was the little girl they were looking for, in a matter of 30 min the couple had cut the little girls hair and died in black and were almost out if it weren't for that CM.

So since that day Disney had setup stricter security rules.....

Needless to say I will be watching over my girls very closely!

If you go to Snopes there are stories repeated like this ALL the time, not only at WDW, but in grocery stores, in shopping malls, etc. I'm not dogging you, OP, because it is not your fault that a castmember told you something that is a rumour and not true. I'm sure they are very close to monitor who is in the area because there are a lot of sick weirdos out there, and better safe than sorry, but I wish they wouldn't continue telling this urban legend. It's just ridiculous anyway. A guy gets in through Disney bag check with black hair dye in his bag and no one says anything...a guy somehow smuggles a screaming crying little girl in to a bathroom and dyes her hair in a public restroom...dye takes at least 20 minutes to set in, then you have to wash it out...yet somehow thirty minutes later they're back in the boutique...

Take care of your kids, watch them like a hawk, and be rational when it comes to fear mongering stories.

A couple years back, I was riding Pirates of the Caribbean and another person in the boat was taking flash pictures. Some other rider called out rather brusquely, "Turn the camera off!" After the ride ended, Camera-Guy and his wife (with their maybe 8-year-old kid) confronted me in the gift shop, having concluded, erroneously, that *I* was the person who had yelled at them during the ride. Both were quite agitated and I got the distinct impression that Camera-Guy was going to assault me over it. Neither he nor the wife believed my denials. But with their kid standing there, I guess they decided that starting a fistfight was not the way to go. I honestly thought we were only a few seconds away from that, given how loudly Camera-Guy was shouting and the fact that every aspect of his appearance and behavior cried out "fruitcake." (I guess Disney Security had better things to do, since they never showed up.) Eventually they got tired of yelling at me and left.

Oddly, there was a follow-up of sorts just last week. I was riding POTC again, and sure enough, somebody starts taking a long sequence of flash pictures. This time the lights come up, the soundtrack mutes, and a cast member comes on the PA to say, "Attention, pirates, please refrain from flash photography" or words to that effect. Funny stuff... :hyper:

Promise it wasn't me in this situation but as a cm myself I do have a tendency to get annoyed and ask fellow passengers (quietly) to stop taking flash photos. They ruin it for everyone else! I think I've only ever actually had to do it in Paris though.

I have a few...but a feel good one is when we had my dd then maybe 4 yrs old in Epcot. We were in world showcase strolling along when we came across a rotund man with a long white beard with a red shirt and suspenders, well, Becky just kind of froze in place for what seemed like an eternity. The man smiled down at her, handed her a card without a word and strolled away. The card said "you hav just met the real Santa Claus". So, I said, "well, I guess Santa liks to vacation in Disney World too!"

That is so so so so so soooooo magical! What a great guy!

last year we walked out of Nemo ride at Epcot and right into the middle of filming for Extreme Home Makeover family at Disney

LOVE that show!

I am almost 19 and I have always felt the same. Even with my friends in the mall if they start using obscenities in earshot of children I tell they need to watch it because there are children around. I have a 3 year old baby sister so I am aware that children repeat what they see and hear. Some people are just trash and you cant change that.

Ain't it the truth.

OK here's mine :goodvibes

It was early evening in the MK, near the hub, a mother having all her kids pose for the photopass photographer (mom was not in the pic) and her yelling at her kids "you better smile with all your teeth - if I don't see your teeth I'm gonna knock 'em all out!" :lmao:

My family and I all looked at each other and cracked up - saying how this was such a magical Disney moment!!

Aout seven years ago we were at MK getting ready to leave, while walking down Main Street a guy asks me if I would stop and take a picture of him in front of the castle, I told him sure....My dd9 and ds7 at the time, stood over to the side while I took the picture, When the guy and his friend preceed to put their arms around each other and hug..Then the guy ask for me to take one more and then they kiss:eek: I handed the camera back to them they said Thank you and we walked on...My son asked why did they kiss and I told him that they were so happy to be in WDW. and he sais oh...and not another word was said.

As we were walking in MK last June, there was a person feeding the birds his leftover food. Two people walking by the opposite way (normal people, not CMs) started yelling at him "DON'T FEED THE BIRDS! DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS!" Now, we all know you shouldn't feed the birds, but they were SCREAMING at him. I told DH it must be the DIS cops.

We were on the Monorail, with another family who had a few small children. Apparently one of their sons (maybe 8ish) had to pee very bad, because they had him pee into a paper cup. In broad daylight, on the monorail, in front of my whole family. They proceeded to get off the monorail at the MK with us, and pour the pee into the bushes, and toss the cup there too. So some poor maintenance CM had to pick up a cup that had been full of pee. It was the strangest thing i had ever seen, and the boy was WAYYYYY too old to be doing that. Not that at ANY age it is normal... haha

Ouch, that was nasty, poor CM.

My story was years ago, you all know those shiny toys that rotate and you can see some message. Back them I only saw Disney messages and had no idea you can write your own message. So we standing and waiting for parade, it is getting dark and I notice a boy holding one of those toys and it spells "Chile". I can not believe what I see, I mean I know what I see but I think maybe I am wrong and I ask my DD, does it spells Chile. The man next to the boy, probably his father, turns to me and with a heavy accent, pride and dirty look responds, "It is a country, but you, here, do not know that". Neddless to say me and the crowd around is getting quiet right away. I feel like I am loughing inside, because he is so off, it is funny. I open my eyes widely, pretend to be a complete idiot and loudly say, "OMG, they named a country after food !!!" Everyone is bursting with lough. (I know it does not spell same but the way he said it, it sounded just same.) He was giving me dirty looks the whole parade but who cares.

About two years ago myself and DS (7 at the time) and DD (5 at the time) were waiting in room number three at Test Track to get on the ride. There was a group of 5 teenage girls in the room right behind us who were being normal teenage girls and just yada, yada, yada, talk, talk, talk, omg, omg, omg, talk, talk, talk, talk. A guy in his mid forties with his wife and 2 daughters turns to the girls and says "would you girls mind shutting the "F" up so my kids can enjoy Disney too." Fortunetly for the girls and unfortunetly for everyone else in the room one of the teen girls fathers was also in the room and I believe dad had been drinking around the world. Dad says "Why don't you make me shut the "F" up!"

Several obcenities exchanged between the two and and I moved my children to the front and put them on the other side of the railing that keeps anyone from getting to close to the televisions and just as they stepped through the railing the fist started flying. Lights came on, security rushes in and all people in both parties were escorted away.

Kids and I rode test track and as we get outside we have to explain to the wife what had happened as she had seen several security officers running in from the entrance.

Word spreads fast though, as we get to the breezeway in front of Mousegear where they sell the Balzacs CM were already talking about it.
