What's up with the hours at Magic Kingdom and MGM for Sunday-Tuesday?

MK hours on 3-14: 9-10: 3-15: 9-11: and 3-16: 9-10

MGM hours on 3-14: 9-7:30: 3-15 9-9: and 3-16: 9-7:30

These hours rival those of Easter week. Kinda scary, I know they are having the cheerleading and dance competitions on Saturday and Sunday, maybe this is their time to run (over-run) the parks with people.

On Tuesday at MGM they are even performing Fantasmic TWICE!

Just curious, we will be down there during this time, luckly at USO/IOA, but will hit WDW later in the week for several days.

Looking forward to Spectromagic this year!:bounce:

Unexpected Jump in Attendance due to Valentine's Day falling on Saturday and a Three Day Weekend due to President's Day.
Things should get back to normal by midweek but not for too long until Spring Break and Easter Holiday!

Hakim ... take a look at the original post. It's MARCH they're asking about, not February ...

Hopefully someone knows what's going on...we are going down that week and wonder why the long hours.

There is nothing scheduled as far as special events, the only thing I can think is that is the height of Spring Break and it tends ot be busy then.

That was my original thought as well, however, the hours drop back down on Wednesday, March 17 and seem to be close for the rest of the month and heading into April, right up tunitl Easter Break and then they mirror the hours I originally posted for March.

Anybody living in the area know of anything?

Okay I get that this is the begining of Spring Break, we are traveling on our own Spring Break, but I am looking for more information as to why ONLY Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week have hours that are way longer than the rest of the week as well as the rest of the month of March with the exception of just a few nights sprinkled here and there.

Any conventions in town, mass travelings only for Sunday-Tuesday, that kind of thing.

Thanks again.

We will be there at the same time and I was wondering the same thing. It's odd for those nights to have the longer hours when Fri & Sat they close at 7 & 8 at MK. I hope they don't change...I'm looking forward to a couple of late nights at the parks.

Those dates are during Spring Break and the newest value resort Pop Century will be full...that's thousands of additional people coming because of the great rates. Usually the park hours are a direct reflection on occupancy rates and how busy they guesstimate the parks will be based on past history. Enjoy your trip and take advantage of E-nights if Disney decides to offer them.
