Yay for Sci-Fi! I absolutely LOVE it there. And I totally always say that about the 50's too... I totally belong in that era. That could be why I love DHS so much.

I'm really sad because they changed the Red Velvet Cheesecake shape at Sci-Fi. I mean, it was still REALLY good... but the piece you got just looks so much more appetizing than the one I ate in december. Mine was so much smaller!

Hahaha I can exactly picture that feeling right now of being SO exhausted, going from the hot air to the cold, and then just wanting to go to sleep. Like.. I know that feeling to a tee. God, I miss it.

I'm really sad because they changed the Red Velvet Cheesecake shape at Sci-Fi. I mean, it was still REALLY good... but the piece you got just looks so much more appetizing than the one I ate in december. Mine was so much smaller!

The Love Birds Double Date
August 20, 2011

So while we were off enjoying the freezing cold that was the 50’s Ma, pa, Danielle and Adam had other plans. They were headed to my dream hotel (no not the Hollywood Tower Hotel) The one and only Polynesian <3 Ugh what I wouldn’t give to stay there….

SOOOO PRETTY………….

ANYWAYS… They were headed off to a dinner that Sam almost jumped ship and sci-fi to go to… Ohana. So since I wasn’t there we will be doing a bit of make believe again…

Here we go…

They arrived in the lobby of the Poly, the most magical place within the most magical place on earth (I am only guessing because I have never spent a lot of time here) And they couldn’t wait to get their date night started. What better way to start it off then by taking prom pictures?!

They started off with a refreshing round of tropical drinks while they waited to be seated…

While they waited to get started Danielle fell asleep…. AGAIN. Goodness that’s all this girl does!!!

But don’t worry she woke up and took a bath with a hot wash cloth that’s used to wipe your hands?

And then the food started rolling in. The towering skewers of meat.

Pa was in heaven!!! Shrimp anyone?

Adam had a nice cold drink and was also thoroughly enjoying himself

Even the vinilimations were having dancing and having a splendid time

Everyone was enjoying the splendid plethora of scrumptious food

Everyone that is except Danielle apparently

Just kidding she was in heaven when she saw this… bread pudding, which I have never had because I kind of refuse to eat here but my entire family raves about it.

From there all happy and stuffed they made there way to a special part of the resort that as a kid we were all dying to try

Danielle’s favorite Disney character ever is hands down peter pan

She figured they would walk over and see if they would let her in just to take a look around and they did!!!

How magical, if I was a kid and had to be put into a day care this is where I would want to go. Such great theming.

[Windsor Princesses]

So..... It's offical.... I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!

Andy's father was kind enough to give us some money towards a trip for our spring break as Andy's Birthday present and and early graduation present for me!!! So we will be headed down (just the two of us) March 5-9. I have been trying to plan this for about a week without getting my hopes up because we weren't sure if it was going to happen. BUT NOW IT IS!!!! I can hardly contain my excitement I was just jumping around his kitchen out of complete joy. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. I am freaking out. I am off to plan. I am pretty sure we will be staying at the All Star Movies and doing the Quick Service dinning plan. SO if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know I am totally new to the world of value resorts and quick service dinning plans.

If you haven't booked yet, the Pop has a much better bus service than the All Star Hotels. There are times where one bus stops at all three and it just takes a long time; however, until the new Pixar Animation hotel opens up the Pop bus runs alone and saves you a ton of time.

We did already book the All Star Movies. I heard about the bus issues but I was hopping that since we will be down there during kind of "off season" that the bus situation won't be terrible. A bunch of people also said that the buses are usually only shared in the after noon and since we wont have a park hopper we will most likely go to the park for opening and stay until closing. Also a bunch of people from the theatre department at college are going down and staying in the same hotel. I really appreciate the advice though. I am dying to try the POP out one of these times ​

A Nightmare Fantasmic!!! (in a good way)
August 20, 2011

When we last left of we were on a magical journey to my favorite place within my favorite place, the Hollywood Tower Hotel. We had fastpasses that we grabbed on our way out earlier and needed to use up.

So we hopped in line and before we knew it we were heading into the library.

Apparently it was a steamy night because that hoodie that I just bought came off as soon as we entered the park as I recall. As you can see in this photo where we are just hanging out in the basement

So after yet another scream and thrill filled ride on we decided to head down to the end of Sunset Blvd. and get some snacks before we went to line up for Fantasmic! We got Andy and I split cotton candy and a deliciously refreshing cherry slushy or Gourmet Ice I think is what is was called regardless of the names it was delicious. Sam got a lemonade slushy and KC got a blue raspberry one (of which I got no pictures…) We took our refreshments and found a seat on the curb.

So as people started to swarm we got up off the curb and started the line a forming. It was about 9:10 at this point and we were waiting to be let in for the 10:30 showing so we were in for a wait. Luckily the people around us were very friendly. One of the ladies near us saw Andy’s pins and asked him how pin trading worked, being the shy kid that he is didn’t know what to say seeing as he had just started pin trading. I talked to the lady who told me that it was a lot nicer sounding that she thought it was, she thought that people would just take her kids pins no matter if they wanted to trade or not.

So about an hour later, at exactly 10 they led us up the long and winding pathway to the theatre. It was kind of scary seeing as we were at the front of the line crammed in like sardines but we made it without loosing anyone. We stayed in the courtyard for a wile and listened to the music (I believe Disney’s version of mambo #5 was playing, what a classic). We slowly piled into the theater. I was so anxious to get like a front row seat because it was going to be Andy’s first time seeing the show and I wanted him to love it as much as I do. So we made our way down but they were filling in section by section… We reluctantly filled in a row about 10-15 rows back one section away from being direct center. BUT THEN they started filling seats over there, so we jumped ship and moved down and we got EXACTLY FRONT ROW DEAD CENTER and the best part was that we had a bench all to ourselves. WE WERE SO EXCITED!!!!

So I’m not going to lie from here on out the pictures are going to be kinda sucky, my camera take great pictures in the day light but at night it sucks, so just use your imagination.

We ended up with some college program kids behind us and the one was talking about Everest and how Miley was going to ride it or had ridden it or something, I tuned them out they were kind of annoying…

One of those carts drove by with all the flashing lights and before we knew it the show was starting.

This photo reminds me of the travel VHS I had when I was little because they advertised Sorcery in the Sky where they had the giant blow up Sorcerer Mickey on top of the great movie ride and fireworks came out of his fingers, I always wanted to see that fireworks display and I don’t remember ever actually doing so.

Now onto some blurry but comprehendible photos

Then the princesses came out at this point I disregarded all of them except for Ariel, I adore her <3

she is just the most precious Disney character ever!!! I apparently was done with Ariel and decided to snap some shots of snow white (she was my original favorite when I was younger, I had a snow white bedroom)

I apparently stopped taking picture for a while until Maleficent came out in dragon form. Look at how close that railing is, that has never happened for us before we are usually way up in the nosebleeds!!

The rest are blurry and nasty so I will spare you the headache and skip to my favorite part of the entire thing. The steamboat at the end, it makes me tear up just thinking about how magical it is!!!

I have a love for steam boat willie that I can’t really explain, I think it started because when growing up my mother had a sweatshirt of Mickey and Steam Boat Willie shaking hands in front of the castle (I think it was for Mickey’s 80th birthday?) anyways I love him for that reason.

Hi Belle!!! I love your dress, my friend Ryan is making me one just like it!!!

Minnie Mouse and Pluto!!! My other two favorites <3 (for real, the first thing I am going to do on my trip in March is purchase myself a Pluto Pillow Pet)

Sad attempt at Ariel you can’t see anything but what looks like one of the 7 dwarfs being sea sick over the railing lol

So after that, I asked Andy how he liked it and his response was “That’s not what I was expecting!!! How didn’t we hear all that going on while we were in line?!”. He loved it and I wasn’t really sure how to answer his question, I guess the theatre is just really far down there…?

Anyways we exited the park along with the tons of other over flow from the show

We were all about getting home to bed because we had gotten so little sleep the past few days so we booked it to the bus and didn’t stop for anything… except the bus which took a while. Well I lied we slowed down so I could take a photo of the tram because I thought it looked so funny.

When did the trams get doors? How strange, anyways when I was little that was my favorite mode of Disney transportation, as a little kid I can remember falling asleep on my moms lap to the breeze blowing on my face as we rode through the parking lots waiting to hear the cute little names for our parking lot. I actually still get really sad that we don’t drive anymore because I loved the tram and the parking lot names so much. ANYWAYS we booked it to the bus which wasn’t there so Sam braided my hair

Which from this point on is what she would do anytime we found ourselves waiting around. There’s a lot of hair in our family that was open for braiding and she had just learned how to fishtail braid.

That is my last picture for the night. We went home and slept and continued to sleep because the following morning no parks had extra magic hours in the morning…

Whatever would we do?

Kind of... my friend Ryan (he is a design tech major focusing on costuming). He wanted to make a Belle dress, she is is FAVORITE and asked if I would be the model for it when it's done. So it's being made to fit me but it won't be mine. Thanks!! I miss it SO MUCH. I had to re-dye it when I did Damn Yankees in the Fall. I was going to redo it but the bleach destroyed that strand of my hair so i decided not to put it through more trauma lol.​

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

So ten days ago was my birthday!!! 22 boy do I feel old. ANYWAYS, Andy was lovely enough to get me tickets to Disney on Ice (he has done so for the past 4 years, it’s kind of a tradition). Basically I just wanted to share some pictures with you incase you have never seen it or were wondering about it.

AHHHHH!!!! It was amazing (it always is) but even more so because Tangled was involved <3 so precious

Ok so I will start out with my birthday present from my parents. Ok well I technically picked it out (I am no good with birthday surprises). I found it on ebay for cheaper. I REALLY wanted a purple one but the only one they had was like $80 so sorry… but no. The great thing about buying them on ebay and not from the Disney store was that I was able to pick the design I got!!! I specifically wanted on with Dumbo and Mickey on it and lucky for me the user had 4 of them available!!

Not that you can see the Dumbo or Mickey, but trust me they are there. I also got a gift card for my March trip

Ok so back to Disney on Ice…

*WARNING*: Some of these photos are not the greatest because of my lame camera being really zoomed in, but they will give you a pretty good idea of what was going on.

Like I said it was amazing. SI the first Act started out with the Incredibles, they were kind enough to get us all stretched out and warmed up for the show.

Next up was Alice in Wonderland. For some reason I have a slight obsession with her, I think it is her dress and they way she finds EVERYTHING “curious”. Either way she was really cute.

I’m glad that I got this shot beucase for some reason that cake was always one of my favorite parts of the movies, again not sure why as I child I was weird I guess but anyways the delicious looking cake

next out was the Queen of Hearts and her card friends. They were crazy!!! They had 2 faces and feet on the back of their feet. I was amazed at how well they could skate like that.

Next up was Peter Pan!!!

The first musical that I was ever in, way back in the 7th grade, was Peter Pan and I remember the girl who played the crocodile was always getting stepped on because she had a contraption like this and couldn’t get up off the floor. So sad.

In addition to having an obsession with Alice I have an obsession with Wendy (maybe because they were voiced by the same person? Who knows.) Andy and I were Peter Pan and Wendy for Halloween.

All you need is faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust

So that brings us to intermission. This is one of my favorite parts because that means it’s Icy time!!!

Man oh Man!!! Those things are delicious. So while we were indulging in our Icy we almost missed the second act starting!!! We ran in just as the Lion King was starting

Hakuna Matata

The did a beautiful partner skate to Can You feel the love tonight. Most of thos pictures came out blurry. But let me tell you watching all of the partner skates made me want to become a figure skater!!!

Ok so next came in some of the Seven cutest little men.

Magical!!!!

Like really?!? This has got to be terrifying. I do tons of lifts with dance classes and shows that I am in and I am scared to do those standing on the ground let alone on ice skates. AMAZING!!!

Aladdin was next with some more crazy lifting.

Jasmine was so sassy I loved it.

NBD. Just your average kick line… ON ICE. Seriously I have a hard enough time going forward when I ice skate.

Then they went on a magic carpet ride.

Continuing on with Aladdin and Jasmine. After that crazy back flip they decided to try out an extra scary lift!!!

Like the weight placement on that has to be perfect or else they are done for.

They hopped back on their magic carpet and rode off into the sunset

Next up was Ariel, pardon my lack of pictures in this section I was just loving on how adorable she was.

Now onto some more recent life update!!!

On Friday of last week I just happen to glance at the audition schedule for Disney and wouldn’t you know they were holding an open call for MY DREAM DISNEY JOB!!! For those of you who don’t know it’s Clair DeLune in Hoop Dee Doo. I was so torn beucase the audition would have been Monday at 10 am. I talked to so many people about it and they all said that I should give it a go and I was all set to get on a plane and go and audition but I didn’t. I don’t have the money and I can’t just drop out of school so I am really hoping that they will have another one before I get to be to old.

In happier news…

Yesterday the applications came out for the Disney College Program!!! AHHHHH. I applied as soon as I got out of class/theatre meeting last night at 7 and I was paranoid I failed. But I got an email saying that I was chosen to take the Web Based Interview today and I passed that part as well!!! So I have my phone interview this Sunday at 4:30. I am so excited I can’t wait. I applied once my freshman year and was accepted but had to turn it down. It has always been my plan to go down after college so that I can get my foot in the door without worrying about having to make the decision to stay there or go back to school. So that’s all I have for now I will keep you updated on how it goes. Wish me Luck!!!​

I forgot my camera and then my cousin's camera ran out of battery halfway through so I was sad I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Yours are all fantastic! And you guys had AMAZING seats!!! Wow. Awesome, awesome. That show was phenomenal.

I'm sorry that you didn't get to audition for Clair... but if it's meant to be it will happen someday! I'm sure of it. And if they don't have auditions anytime soon, then something better is in store for you! You're so talented - I'm sure you're going to do great things!!

I am really excited for you to do the College Program/application process! I seriously can't wait to hear about it through your perspective. Good luck on your phone interview - I am sure you're going to do awesome. Just smile through the phone! Remember lots of details so you can tell me all about it!

I wish I could go SO bad next semester but I really can't. I am pretty much set in stone on going next year in the spring though. Because I think if I waited any longer I would be too far into the program here to leave for a semester. But at least if I do Disney next year I'll have time to catch up here when I get back for my last two years. And if I have to take summer classes/stay an extra semester I really don't care. Then after my DCP I can go down to Disney as seasonal in the summers/christmas breaks until I graduate Yay!! That's the hope anyway. Sorry I just gave you my life plan there haha. I give you MAJOR props for waiting until you graduated because if I did that I would probably die because I'm so impatient lol. I'm so anxious to get to Disney I can't even tell you.

Thanks!!! I tried really hard but the more I zoomed in the fuzzier they were. I took like 300 pictures though lol. It's hard to get them in action.

As soon as I finish and find out how I did I will let you know and I will be happy to help you out!!! I know how badly you want to do it!!!
So far it has been pretty simple just a little terrifying at points lol. Surprisingly though I am the least nervous for the hardest part of the process. I am going to like write down ALL of the questions they ask me so I can help out anyone who needs it.

It was SO hard waiting until after my senior year especially seeing other people younger than me going down. But I feel like it's the perfect time to go down. It prolongs the harsh real world just a little longer haha. So fingers crossed that I make it in!!!​
