I'm in a sports mood today, probably cause I'm stuck in the office all day so I've been catching up with all the sports articles on the net. So...

Question who has the craziest sports fans, college or pro?

I've heard Texas and Oklahoma Football fans rank up there.

I know us Kentucky basketball fans are world famous for being a little hard to please.

Anyone else? Any stories to share about crazy fans? I've got plenty for UK fans.

Cameroon crazies. Duke basketball fans whom camp out the night before to get tickets, then jump up and down like crazy during the game. Maybe I shouldn't mention Duke to the UK fans.:D Thanks for the thread.

Raider Nation, Black hole, nobody is crazier...

Stop by the Dawg Pound in Cleveland for a game.

Word of advice -- don't wear anything that's not orange and brown. :) :)

I think the guys that wear dresses and snouts to every Redskin game are pretty nutty:crazy:

But it wouldnt be a game without them;)

And the ones that are known for being the least tolerant are the Eagles fans. I am not sure, but I dont think there is a Jail under any other arena.

even the media and NFL players say the raiders black hole is the wildest...

Bengals face rowdy crowd of Oakland fans

By Mark Curnutte
The Cincinnati Enquirer

OAKLAND, Calif. - To call the Raiders' home-field advantage a 12th man is not entirely accurate. It's more like 11 men and a creature.

The Bengals will face the Oakland Raiders and their colorful home crowd today at Network Associates Coliseum. Though the Bengals last played at Oakland in 1998 - and lost by 17 - they haven't experienced the notorious Black Hole section since it came into full bloom during the 2000 season.

The crowd is traditionally one of the loudest in the NFL and will be today, even though the game did not sell out the 63,132-seat stadium.

Populated by costumed fans - among the regulars: Violator, Darth Raider and Pharaoh Raider - the Oakland crowd tries to distract visiting teams. The focal point is the south end zone - the Black Hole.

Fueled by Jack Daniels whiskey and the ritual 3:30 a.m. parking-lot bacon fry, Black Hole members are known to throw more than the standard abusive language, peanuts and beer showers at opposing players. Visiting players have said they've been hit with flying chicken bones, batteries, garbage and even live ammunition (thrown bullets) when venturing too close to the Black Hole.

Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna played in Oakland three times with the Seattle Seahawks.

"There's no place like it in the league," said Kitna, who will make his second start today. "The fans take pride in just being as crazy as they can and as rowdy as they can."

His advice to teammates who've never played there: Go out and experience it in warm-ups.

Sounds like this is becoming a pro football fan thread. With that being said, all of the Bengals home games are sold out for the first time in eons. I didn't think the Bengals had fans, I guess we'll see what they're like.

Jim Rome (sports radio) calls out the Raider fans all of the time when it comes to crazy behavior (Raider Fan)....

Just reading that article about the Raiders brings a tear to my eye.

Kentucky fans aren't crazy during games, we're crazier when we lose a game or during recruiting season. The saga and epics that follow one high school kid recruit are insane. They'll get down to finding out who his girlfriend is and where he likes to shop and eat.

My favorite thing KY fans have done, when Rick Pitinio was building his house when he moved to Lexington, there was a line of fans around his neighborhood when they first broke ground. What were they doing? Scooping up dirt in jars to take home for keepsakes.
