:wave2: :wave2: HI GUYS!!!! WELCOME HOME!!!!! WE MISSED YOU BOTH!!!!!  :grouphug: :grouphug: It was great reading your reporst!!! Selena ~ 2nd and 3rd in the lines???!!!! MAN!!!! Can't get any better than that? What time did they let you board? Glad you felt better and you had an enjoyable birthday. The couples massage was a nice birthday gift for you !!! (I am sure) and your dinner was romantic and even if he fell asleep early after dinner.... no children... peaceful and enjoyable. :wizard: I am wondering what movies you watched and did you see any shows? Did you buy any souvenirs and did yuo drink any neat drinks? Oh... what kind of martinis did you taste??!!! I just cannot wait to see pics.. I am getting WAY excited now!!! Welcome home my friend!!!
Sandy, we missed you too!!!! Make sure Heidi sends you the email I sent her on the drinking animals (it was really all of us in the form of dogs!!!! Real cute!!). I was sorry to hear about the yucky things to happen to you but glad it all worked out and Disney took care of you all. Now those trinkets... was that because there were inconvniences that they gave them to you or what? Also, did you go to movies or shows? What did you talk to Roy about, can I ask?! How exciting!!!! I am glad when it came to those Malibu Breezes you thought of us!! Really!!! How could you not?!!! :rotfl: Please send pics also.
Well guys, I really hate to cut this so short. I want to ask and hear more but my tylenol p.m. is kickingin. GREAT to have you back! Tell us more! Love, Karen :cool1: :cool1:

Selena - glad you had a great time. Too bad about Jeff, but hopefully it didn't put a damper on the day too much. Don't you love being so close in line!!! My very first cruise, we were the first family in line and somehow managed to be the first on the ship (beating the concierge and handicap...not sure how we managed to do that :confused3) and then last cruise our DIS friend had the Walt Suite so we got to go in with her and be one of the first few!!!! How was the martini tasting? Which ones did you taste? I can't wait to see pictures!!!!!!

I love the banana boat, that is so much fun. Did you fall off? Being in the very front is so much fun but you get WET!!!!! The Salt water in the eyes is the only downfall!!!! But my favorite part of CC is sitting at Serenity Bay on the edge of the ocean.

I was very excited my mom was finally back!!! I talked to her on the phone from the time she left the airport all the way until she got home (About 1 hour!!!) And then I finally got to see her on Sunday and of course was glued to her yesterday!!! I think I missed her just a little bit!!!! I got some cool souveniers, but the best is knowing that we have another cruise planned TOGETHER!!!!!!

You two were sure missed!!!!

Karen - Tylenol PM is some strong stuff!!!!!! I hope you had a great weekend.

The martini tasting was fun. You have 5 different to taste in small martini glasses. You still get plenty and it was well worth the $15.
You are to drink them in a special order, not the way they sit on your mat. The first one is a melontini. Very strong and sweet. It is the first one on your mat. Then you skip the next and go to the third one, which is a Blue Baracuda. I do not think it was as strong but just as sweet. Then you go back to the second one. It is a citrus martini. Sorry I can not remember the names of the next ones. After the first two I could hardly walk. :rotfl2: I liked this one the best. The next was the 5th on the mat and it was a champagne and strawberry martini. I did not care for it but Jeff and Amy really liked it. The last was a chocolate martini which is the fourth on your mat. It was a good dessert martini. Very nice and all very presented great.

.

Selena - Glad Jeff doesn't have to go down now, too bad it put a little damper on your day when you heard about it though!!!! The martini tasting sounds like so much fun, mom maybe we can do that in September. Did you have Disney's specially made wine for dinner....that is some good stuff!!!!!

Still waiting on pictures!!!!

I had it at the wine tasting. I hae had it before. It is pretty good. We did have a good Cab one night at dinner. It was not an expensive wine. I would think you could buy it for about $10 a bottle off the ship.

Oh heck I was going to post pictures from work but our filter system here is not allowing it. Maybe I will have time tonight.

Jeff did not have to go to Miss but he is in Hickory again for the week, but he is going to come home everynight. Nothing like your own bed. This means I have to pick up the dogs from the groom and take E to football practice. Jeff made the cutest picture of him last night. Remember Erik is only 10. But he looks so cute in his football gear. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!!! :wave2: :wave2: Hope all is well! Selena, I cannnot wait until tonight for pics!!!! Can't you just go home?! Hahaha :rotfl: Also, I am wanting to see how your door signs turned out. OK... I need my java!!!

Hi everyone. Selena that is great that Jeff doesn't have to go now. My husband is leaving Friday for indefinitely and their goal is to stay in New Orleans. I won't be able to reach him except maybe by text. I'm pretty upset. But there is work to be done. I sure hope he is back by the time our trip comes in 2 1/2 months.

Loved the trip reports, can't wait to see pictures.

Sorry I haven't been posting, will get back to normal I supposed after he leaves. It's been pretty stressful. Our whole area is full of evacuees. My daughter has 3 or 4 kids in her school now from New Orleans.

Marcie what does your hubby do? I feel bad for your family. I know how hard it is. Where do you live? I did not realize you lived in that area. I hope your family is ok and all you know. Let us know what we can do for you. Always here to listen. Feel free to pm or email me.

No Karen I can not go home right now. :rotfl2: Would love to though.

My Dh works for the electric company. He will be quite busy I'm sure. His company's main office is actually right across the street from the superdome. There is no working from there now. We live in Texas on the coast. This could have very well been us. And, it has effected our whole area. I'm just really down today. I know I should be happy he is helping them, but I am worried too. I guess that is selfish. I just don't like knowing I won't be able to reach him. And, just a little worried they will still be working come Novemeber when we cruise.

Marcie - I am sorry. I hope the rough days ahead get better for you and your family. We are always here to listen and if you don't want it out on a public forum feel free to email or pm us. Wish we could give you a hug. :grouphug:

Welcome back Selena and Sandy! I am glad to hear of all the wonderful fun and occasional drinks in Disney! Martini tasting sounds *awesome*. I haven't been around lately (getting ready back at school, I've been sleeping 2-6 am every day lately and am "crazy busy" with all the "teacher stuff".)and reading your awesome reports was a great way to catch up with this thread.

Selena it's great to hear that Jeff will not have to go. No matter how busy you are, it's always nice to come *home* at the end of the day. And happy belated birthday!!! :cheer2:

Marcie- I am very sorry that you are going through a tough time right now. People always thank the task forces, but their families sacrifice just as much and are a huge part of the help. It's especially hard when you can't really even contact him much. Just remember how important what he is doing really is. I live about 10 minutes away from Manhattan and from the 2nd floor, could see the smoke from the Twin Towers on 9/11. 2 of my 3 brothers were part of the rescue effort. (They came after both collapsed and were not inside at the time of the second collapse, both were never injured) It was really extremely tiring- they were working 15-20 hours a day, barely coming home to get a nap and change clothes and were back again. They weren't even themselves for a long time after "what they saw". But I think now they are stronger people and my whole family is really proud of them for what they did. I know my nephews idealize their dad for his part in the rescue and really look up to him because of it. Hopefully, things will turn out well for you, too. And I certainly don't think you're being selfish- in times of crisis, we all want our loved ones closer. Your emotions are totally understandable. I will be thinking about you and your husband and praying all will be on the road to recovery by November and you will be able to Cruise- you'll need it!

P.S.
It also happens my high school (in New Jersey) is getting several students from New Orleans as well. I.M.T.T. has been giving financial help to the high school for many years and their plant in New Orleans is obviously destroyed. They are sending the employees and their families to the I.M.T.T. plant in my town and enrolling their children here next week. I don't know if I personally will be getting any students, but I am not sure what to do to make this transition easier if I do- they will have lost their home (even if it's repairable, they are still sent to live here due to work),and likely some family members. They will not be at "their" school, or see "their friends. A Louisiana accent is totally different from a New Jersey/ New York accent, food is different, everything's new to them and I am nervous kids from NJ will not be as kind and hospitable as I hope they would be. I don't know what to do to help them.

Marcie,
:grouphug: I think I can speak for all of us. Here is a group hug. I know it is tough. I know how very stressed you are over him leaving. I will not remind you of all that is on your mind. BUT remember we love you and will be praying not only for you but your whole family.

LuLu how traumatic 9/11 had to be for you. Oh how awful.

I use to date a guy from the city who was a police officer. His beat was Time Square. I have often worried if he is ok after this happened.

My cousin just married a girl that lost her husband in the towers. She has two small children.

Well I am doing another reply because I thought I would show a few pictures!!!

I have to go back and find the wine tasting picture. I will post it later.

:grouphug: Oh Marcie, I feel bad for you. Your feelings are natural and expected and don't feel bad. Of course you have concerns. We are a family here now and will be here to listen to you.

Selena, I had a sip of a choc martini onboard. Those are soooo yummy. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for one.

Karen, the trinkets from Disney was for everyone. Either at dinner or on our bed. No, didn't go to the movies. I always fall asleep during them on the cruise. However, on our hurricane day they showed Herbie Fully Loaded in the Walt theater so we went to that one. It was pretty cute but I did doze off. The swaying of the ship just puts me to sleep. :rotfl2:

Heidi has us hooked on BBC's so we had one of those almost daily. If I didn't have that then I had the Malibu breeze. Of course on CC we had the Konch cooler. We were kicked off the beach because of the weather at 9:30am so we sat at the bar and had one. Heck, we are on vacation, right? Our friend had a malibu breeze and he made it practically pure rum so she was flying high at 9:30 in the morning. Bless her heart, she went back to the ship and stayed there the rest of the day.

We haven't even had time to download our pics yet. I can't wait to see them. I am also excited to see the video of the crossing and of the hurricane swells.

The above was my post for yesterday that the computer wouldn't take. I just copied it and saved it till it would. Much too long to type again. Call me LAZY!! :rotfl2:

Now, onto todays:

Oh my gosh, those pictures were way too cool. So glad that you shared them. REAS is really nice. By the way, I always get 5520. Nice rooms, nice prices! You are a complete skinny minnie. Wish I could look as good as you! It was fun seeing the Mickey head at the terminal. We didn't get to see it this trip. I honestly missed Port Canaveral's way of doing things. AND :bday: :cake: Happy Birthday, I don't think I got to tell you that.

Better run.

LuLu - welcome back, I thought we had lost ya!!! Glad to see you posting again.

Selena - I LOVE  your hair. So adorable, and I really liked your swimsuit too!!! Great pictures, they really made me ansy to get back on that ship!!! I haven't been on the Wonder for about 5 years. Can't thank you enough for sharing your pictures with us!!!! Can I go now????

Good morning, we made it to Friday!!!!! Not much plans this weekend, may just take it easy!!!

Uhhhh, you are wrong Heidi!! If I can find roma tomatoes, you are canning salsa. No rest for the wicked!!
