Wow, she sent a picture of a Pizza Hut near her home. They only thing you can see is the red roof. She has her hands on a car charger now so I feel so much better about contacting her.

Just got a text from Marcie, she said that she has a car charger now so she can text more. She also sent a picture:

She said this is a Pizza Hut in Bridge City that is 10 minutes from her house.

I feel very blessed to have actually talked to Marcie. She is dry and doing the best she can. She is so happy and grateful to have the car charger! She has a radio that she can keep abreast of all the happenings. There are about 4 other apts that have people that stayed including a cop. I made sure to ask if anyone knew that she was there.

Heidi, I asked last night about the flooding because I was worried at how close it might be to her. I did not want any more storms to push it closer to her. I can not get picture texts on my phone they have to be sent to my email address by phone for me to get them.

Sandy I asked about safetly last night. She said the cops are patroling. I am glad to hear a cop lives there though. Makes me more comfortable.

I am so glad she got the phone charger and she has the radio. I know they must be going nuts. I wonder when things will ever be normal again there. Did she say anything about school or work? I know that sounds crazy but I am thinking the sooner they can get back to normal the better off they all will be mentally.

It is a propane one so Ted and I told her that she needs to cook outside. Come to find out her lantern is propane too. How do I tell her that needs to be outside as well? Am I correct on that? I don't want them to get carbon monoxide poisoning! She said that it is very hot running 85 or 90 so at least the windows would be open.

I think you are right, I think it needs to be outside. Rich use to heat up the tent with a propane lantern and Chris cringes everytime I bring that up and he said it should be used outside.

Anything Propane should be outside due to carbon monoxide poisoning. I did not tell her this either. I should have thought of it. Dang I feel bad now. That is wonderful about Aeriel's dad giving them the cookstove.

After a few txt messages, I decided to call her. While she was sad about it, she decided not to use the lantern tonight. She uses it for a couple of hours with open windows. She did use the propane stove tonight for dinner and used it outside. They had ravioli.
