I've never had a jello shot either. Maybe I should put that on my to do list. :rotfl2:

Things to report about Caribbean Beach Resort.
After DTD we went back to the resort. We wanted to go to the custom house to talk to the disney cruise line desk since we were taking the transportation to the port. Well, we had gotten in, in the middle of the night so we hadn't seen any of it in daylight. We got off at the first bus stop thinking we would be close to the custom house. That was a BIG mistake. We walked for a long time in a lot of heat and stopped and looked at a map. Finally we caught another bus. First minus, just like I've read, it's very spread out. BUT, the only time it bothered us was that walk. We had gotten the preferred location and it wasn't far at all to the pool or the food court. The other cons were, the bed we were in squeaked so bad it would wake me up and the water pressure was horrible, took forever to rinse our hair. It wasn't all bad though. I loved the Castaway Cay picture on the wall. The comforters were so colorful and we got little washcloth animals. They were awesome. :thumbsup2 The rooms were definitely roomy enough and the sinks had a counter between them. That is one of the main reasons I chose that resort over Port Orleans. I need my counter. :rotfl2: The CMs there were all very friendly. All in all we were satified. :thumbsup2

Selena - For WDW it will be Chris, the girls, and I and we are meeting up with his sister and her DH and there 3 girls, and his mom. For DCL it will only be Chris and I and his mom will be flying back with the girls since it would be too many school days missed. Lisa started posting yesterday so I look forward to getting to know her, turns out she has another DISer friend also sailing on the same cruise.

I can't believe you girls have never had a jello shot. You can get them at any club and they are very easy to meet. My best friend makes the strongest jello shot that sneaks up on you and when you stand up you really feel it!!!

If DCLcruiser is reading this, he is really going to think that I am a drunk/alcoholic!!!! I know Jrsy and Cristi already know that I am!!!

Marcie - Glad you like the Caribbean resort. I didn't know they had pictures of CC, how cool is that!!! We stayed there one time and that place is HUGE!!!

I'll teach you guys about jello shots some day ;)

They're better with rum than with vodka, IMO.

I leave tomorrow!!!!!

I am packing some things here and going to pick up my paycheck, get my nails done, stop by and visit my nephew to say goodbye :guilty: and deliver some Avon, run a whole bunch on last minute errands today. I had to work late yesterday, 4-9:30, so I"ve got a lot to do.

I will post sometime before I leave, so I can show you guys my niece before we run!

:dance3:

Marcie, Heidi and I stayed at CBR one time. We actually NEVER saw it in daylight. We arrived late and then would get up early for EMH and stay until dark. It is a pretty resort BUT so spread out.

Heidi, DCLCruiser already knows that you are a lush.

Jrsy, too many hours at work BUT with it paying half the cruise, that is pretty sweet!
Including the paycheck I received this weekend, but that doesn't include the 52 hours from last week, I figured that OT has so far paid for 63% of the cruise price. That and retrospect makes it a little easier to deal with...

That's pretty good, Jrsy. I know it is hard to work so many hours but then when it comes time to pay for the cruise, you will be happy you did!

I'm sorry, you'll have to buy me a few drinks if you want to find that out. ;)

and how am I to do this? I guess I can send some money to Heidi, Sandy or Cristi and let them buy them for you from me. :rotfl2:

Did I mention today was my first day back to work and I hate work? lol

Jrsy it is hard to work alot of overtime. Jeff did it a few years ago and it was very hard on him. I just sat back and paid off our cruise with the money.

Heidi do you have a recipe for jello shots?

I just heard of pudding shot/cups. Have any of you heard of this? I am thinking about making them this weekend.

Wow Selena, you are already back to work....the summer went by so quick. How we make jello shots out here is that we make it according to the directions (boil water and mix in jello) and then substitute the cold water for the liquor of your choice. I have never heard of pudding shot/cups....how in the world do you make those?

That's what I do, too. Watermelon with rum or lime with tequila are good combos. :)

I have three hours to go before I leave for WDW. :cheer2:

I have never made jello shots, but I have had them. I liked the tequila with lime personally. The rest of them were with vodka, but they probably would have been better with rum. I haven't done those since the night before college graduation, made for an interesting graduation ceremony with the majority of us being hungover. My graduation from med tech school only had 9 of us there. Very small class.

Have fun Lulu!!!!!! Try to keep cool! Make sure you ride Expedition Everest. Way Cool!

Bye LuLu, have a great trip!!!! Say hi to Mickey and warn him that we will be next!!!

Okay, here are a few more details of our trip. There were 9 of us there, me, DH, DD, DS, DM, DF,DB, DSIL and DNeph. It was SIL and Nephews first time there and my brother and parent's first time since before Epcot was built. We stayed at Vacation Village at Parkway. We had two 2bedroom condos. They were pretty nice. We were right across the hall from each other. My parents and all of the gradkids were on one side of the hall and the rest of us were on the other side. The kids loved having their own apartment. We got there on Saturday and let me tell you don't rent a car from Thrifty, very unorganized. It took a good hour to get the cars.

On Sunday, we went to MK. We had a lot of fun, especially once we split up a little and went our own ways. Only one meltdown that day and it was my DS. He wanted to ride Splashmountain and when we got over there it was a 70 minute wait (we didn't get a FP) well, we were almost at the end of our day since we wanted to go out to dinner that night. He was very upset that we couldn't ride it. He said he had been waiting his whole life to ride it ( he wasn't tall enough last time). We left MK around 6pm and the plan was to go back to the condo, get cleaned up and go to Margaritaville for dinner. We ended up getting lost on the way to Margaritaville and drove around for a solid hour before finally going back towards the condo and stopping at Joe's Crab Shack.

Monday we decided to sleep in and go to Epcot later in the day. My mom needed to go buy the flowers to make the bouquets for the wedding on Tuesday. Mom, Dad and SIL went shopping for flowers, a few more groceries and fan misters. My brother and I took the kids down to the pool and DH was trying to find an internet connection to register for school. We all went to Epcot around 2pm that day. A few people went to Mission Space while the rest of us went and got FP for Test Track. We met up again and then we all split up. Grandma and Grandpa took all of the grandkids, DH and I went off in one direction and DB and DSIL went in another. We had a great time just wandering around world showcase. Great orange slushies in France (with grand marnier)(they also had a lemon one, Heidi, but I think it had a different liquer in it). Then we went to Morocco and had a great lamb sandwich. We made our way around to Mexico for a fiesta margarita and then had to meet up with everyone for the Test Track FP, somewhere along the way we also picked up FP for Soarin too. Test Track was great, my nephew really loved it, he usually isn't very adventurous. We all did Soarin and my SIL was screaming her head off, she really doesn't like anything adventurous at all. (We had also gone to Honey I shrunk the audience earlier and she was totally freaked out by that). She wasn't happy with us that day. :rolleyes1 We stayed for Illuminations that night. It was my first time seeing it. It was good, but I like Wishes much better.

Okay, I am going to split this report up into another post now......

Tuesday was an off day from the parks. The vow renewal was set for 5pm and Mom had said we needed to be in the cars ready to go at 3:30 pm to make sure we got there in time. Disaster first thing in the morning. Mom went to get the flowers out of the fridge where she had put them on Monday to keep them fresh and they were frozen. :( She was pretty upset about it and Dad kind of chuckled, not meaning anything by it. Well, Mom kind of lost it, at this point you see Cristi leaving the room and going back to her own room. I had offered to go back to the flower shop and get more, but she didn't want me too. After I went back to my room, my brother says that Shannon (SIL) was going to take Mom back to buy more flowers. It all ended up fine and the flowers were great! So, we all left at 3:30 to get to the chapel by 4:30. Traffic wasn't bad at all and we got there at 4pm. They didn't have anyone else scheduled so we went ahead and went on in for the ceremony. It was really nice. I didn't think Mom was going to make it through the ceremony she was so emotional. And Shannon and I were just boohooing. If anyone is interested in seeing some pictures from that go to www.royalchapel.com and click on Sharon and Carl from Loveland, CO.

After the ceremony we went back to the condo for cake and then we went to Margaritaville for dinner. It was a lot of fun!

Wednesday we went to MGM. Boy was it hot!!!!! We got FP for RNRcoaster and DH and DD went and got in line for Tower of Terror. Mom, Shannnon and Jacob went to ride Great Movie ride and the rest of us wandered around getting character pictures. We actually stayed split up in various groups for most of the day. My nephew decided to ride RNRcoaster with us and that was a big mistake. When we got off he said it was fun, but by the time we were in the giftshop he was close to tears. :guilty: I felt so bad. We left the park around 5 or so I think because it was so hot that day. Hung around the condo at the pool and then brought in KFC for dinner.

Thursday we actually made it to AK by about 930 am (the earliest day yet). Got FP for EE and then headed off to Kilimanjaro Safari (except for DH and DS went to Dino land). After the Safari it was time for EE, only four of us went back for that and everyone else hung out in Africa watching the performers. EE was great!!!!! As soon as we got off, we immediately went to the single rider line to ride again. Half of the group was ready to leave so they took off at about 12:30. My dad, me and the two boys stayed and went to Rafiki planet watch for a little bit then we took off too. We hung around the condo for the afternoon and then afterdinner went back to MK for a few rides and Wishes. DS finally got to ride Splash mountain (me too, it was my first time too) we also did BTMR (DS's fav ride). Then we all met up traded people around and split up again. We got to see the parade and then found a great spot for the fireworks. It was great except we didn't get back to the condo until midnight.

Friday we went to Epcot again. Pretty much immediately split up. The only thing I rode that day was Test Track with DD. Dh and I got to go back to Morocco for another great sandwich and have our drinks in Mexico and France. We left the park around 4:30 that day so we would have time to go out to dinner and then get packed.

It really was a great trip even though it was REALLY HOT!!!!!! The crowds didn't even seem that bad. Other than the splashmountain wait, most of the waits weren't that long in the standby. Once we got going on the FP that seemed to help too.

I will try to post some pictures sometime. I have them saved on the laptop, but I don't have my editing software on here and I need to get rid of some redeyes.

Cristi, your trip report sounds great!!!!

Bye, guys! I'm leaving for the airport in ten minutes, stopping at the bank and off I go!!!!!!!!

Talk to you guys later!!!!!! :cheer2:

Cristi great report and pictures. :goodvibes

There were only 2 times on our whole trip that i was very hot. I think being from Texas helped me out there. The first time was when we were walking looking for the custom house at Caribbean Beach. I bought water at one of the bus stops and I really just wanted to pour it all over my body. The second time was at the end of our fishing trip in CC we left and went to eat lunch and I was very overheated.

Okay, I think I was on Friday at WDW. Thursday night we had bought a box of donuts and ate those for breakfast Friday but they weren't very good at all. We got to AK about 8:30 and waited the 30 minutes until it opened and walked very fast to Everest. By 9:20 we were already done riding it. :thumbsup2 It worked out great going straight there. That ride is awesome!!!!!! It has been a while since I rode a roller coaster. It was so smooth and just right in thrills. We really enjoyed our whole day at AK a lot. The trees kept it cool enough and there was never a really long line anywhere. We grabbed an early lunch at the Tusker house. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was really good. Aerial got Salmon and enjoyed that too. Dane got the turkey wrap and wasn't too impressed. We did the safari next and it was a lot of fun. I really would have liked to to the safari and Everest again but we everyone was getting tired by 3 so we went rest before dinner. After the safari we all 3 got airbrush tattoos. I got the one on my back, Aerial got one on her arm and Dane got a Mickey head on his head. It was funny. But, his didn't last but about 24 hours on his head. :confused3 Mine lasted almost until the end of the whole trip. The spa is what got rid of mine I think. After the tattoos we watched the Lion King show. It was great and Aerial and I had wanted to see it for a long time. :thumbsup2 We also did It's tough to be a bug and the Dinosaur & Primeval rides. Around 3 we went back to the resort and put on our bathing suits to go to the pool and get a drink. Well we weren't out there about an hour and a thunderstorm came so they closed the pool. We went back to the room and took a short cat nap then got ready for dinner at 'Ohana. We wore our matching mickey outfits and brought Cosmo to a late dinner at 'Ohana. We had 8:25 ressies and I asked to get a window seat. We didn't get right by the window but got close. But, there was a pole in the way of part of the view. :confused3 We still got to see most of the fireworks though. Right as we were ready to pay for our ticket the fireworks started. It was great, but we were sick of meat after that meal. I loved the Wonton chips.

Okay off to bring Aerial to school, it's a short afternoon meet the teacher day before school starts tomorrow.

How exciting to read all the trip reports today!!!

Cristi - The pictures turned out really well. Your poor mom and the flowers, I think I would have had a meltdown if it happened to me. How did you like Margaritaville? I have ate there 3 times and is not my favorite place to go for food, but the atmosphere is great. Too funny that Jacob had a meltdown, I love Splash Mountain so I would have thrown a huge fit if I didn't get to ride it.

Marcie - How much did the tattoo's cost? Did Aerial's tattoo last as long as yours? My mom is a rollercoaster wimp, she rides Space mountain (because it is in the dark) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...do you think EE will be okay for her to ride?

Thanks for sharing your trip reports....I am really enjoying them, they are great.
