It's the new thing. Saltwater pools require fewer chemicals and don't have as many algae problems.
I read about this too. Suppose to be healthier, right? I've also been reading about "natural" swimming pools....Where you just let nature takes it's course. We have those around here....we call them ponds

Seriously, I've been looking into putting in a pool and these natural swimming pools even have catails and pond grass growing in them! The biological "filter" is suppose to keep it clean. Can you imagine the critters swimming along side you in something like this:
