I know! Several months ago I was trying to talk DH into moving to FL, but then when I did some reading here about all the critters everyone has to deal with, forget it!

Nope, ours isn't screened (me, personally, can't stand the screens). Anyway, our neighbors on either side of us have a pool too with no screen - but no crabs. I'm guessing it is because ours is a saltwater pool. We're thinking of just switching it to the chlorine setting until this lovely season is finished!

turn a negative into a positive-sell tickets to people so they can 'swim with the crabs'-or- put on the sound track to the little mermaid, put a rubber raft in the pool and market it to kids as 'sebastian's under the sea adventure' (you can't tell me that some sahm with kids already bored and driving her crazy would'nt shell out a few bucks for this)

Okay, maybe there is a crab invasion underway...

After reading some of this thread I went downstairs/outside for a break and noticed a small sand crab in our building lobby!

It was walking around and was going to get squished so I came back up to my office to get someone to help me get it outside ('cause I'm not touchin' the thing!). The one guy I got wouldn't touch it either!

Luckily one of the survey guys was coming back in from the field and he picked it right up and walked it over to the beach about a block away!

So...we saved the life a little momma sand crab!!!

Oh...and I'm NOT in Florida!!!

Crabs??? I used to find frogs, but I can honestly say, I've never had crabs.

And it feels good to say that, in more way than one!

It's the new thing. Saltwater pools require fewer chemicals and don't have as many algae problems.
