Planning on trip next year & would like to stay at CR. Trying to decide between the Tower or the Wing. Is there much of a difference besides the location and the price? Do you think it is worth the extra $ to stay in the Tower just to be near the monorail and restaurants? Please advise the pros and cons of each. Thank you.

The view!

When I stayed at the CR, we reserved a wing room but were upgraded to a Tower. It was great! I loved the view, and we weren't even on the best side. Also, I must say, it was a real treat to only have to walk a couple dozen steps to get from my room to the Magic Kingdom. This is an especially nice if you have young kids or sore feet. Surprisingly, the rooms were pretty quiet. To me, the great advantage of the CR is being at the resort that the monorail goes through. I would think that staying in one of the wings is like staying at the resort next to the resort that the monorail goes through.

Of course, the wings give you a more affordable way to be close to MK and some prefer them for being a bit more quiet. Hopefully, someone who has experienced them will provide their input.

We have never stayed in the tower, but have been in the garden wing several times through SOG. We really like the garden wing for its quiet. We have always had the room that is on the very end of the hall furthest from the entrance but we had a water view and a small walk-out patio right to a small sandy beach. It was great. We're going back next month and hope to get the same area.

The last time I was there the wing and tower rooms were the same. The tower is more convenient to the monorail and restaurants but one of the wings if youre close to the exit is more convenient to the Magic Kingdom.

We stayed in the Garden Wing and did not enjoy it very much. It reminded me of a Motel. The Tower is where everything is happening.

Are the rooms set up the same? Same size? It seems that the only difference between the two is the location and the views from each?

I am certain that all of the regular rooms, wings or tower, are the same size and same set up. They are very large and spacious rooms- we stayed in the wings and I didn't feel like I wasn't part of the hotel.
