:) We will be staying at THe CR in a Garden wing room in March. I can not seem to find any pictured of these rooms anywhere. Could someone please point me in the right direction or post some pictures?? Have these room been referbished like to tower rooms?

Also, if anyone has pictures of the views. I was wondering what the garden view was looking at....:)

The Garden Wing rooms were renovated just like the Tower, so they both look excatly the same. Here are some pictures of the renovated rooms from Allearsnet.com, however I don't think they had any pictures of the views from the Garden Wing rooms.

I don't have my pics where I can post them, but my view was of the tower, pool, marina and lake (depending on which direction I looked). I was at the end of the wing, at the end of the hall closest the pool and marina area. It sounds like it's far out, but I was right beside the door to the outside, and there was a sidewalk that pretty much went straight to the Tower, so it was maybe a two minute walk. I could also see quite a few of the fireworks from MK from my room, and more if I stepped just outside. It was a great room. It was one of the few rooms, though, that doesn't have a daybed in it, because the end rooms are laid out a little different.

The room was totally refurbished in the new style, and very comfortable. The only problem (and I think most people feel this way) was the bathroom. I used one sink for storage and one sink for washing, because there is literally 6 inches of counter between those sinks. There is a glass shelf below, but it also wasn't very deep. If you don't establish a "dry" sink and a "wet" sink ahead of time, be prepared to lay your clothes or towels in water, because the sinks drain slowly. I don't know why they didn't put a counter in the toilet room - it would have been so convenient and not in anyone's way.

This was our view from November.

I loved the rooms! So much space. I ended up taking my clear shoe holder and hanging it on the towel rack, or I would not have had a place to put anything because of those huge sinks though. It worked out fine.

We were in room 6330 the week before Christmas. Here's a few pics.

This was the view from our "standard view" room. We didn't open the drapes very often.

We are staying there in June in the tower MK view, and I can't wait!!! I was flip flopping about where to stay but when I see how nice the rooms are I am glad we chose the Contemporary :) Our kids are older so this resorts theming works well for us. Thanks for posting your pictures, Santaray overall how did you like this hotel?

I agree with you 100% about this. However I don't let it bother me to much because the rest of the room looks amazing, so it over shadows how they renovated the bathroom.

We stayed in a Wing Room when they were renovating and we still thought it was wonderful. We'd stay there again if we could.

This may be a dumb question but is there just the one pool?

Does it get jammed packed in the Summer?
I have been staying at the Contemporary every August since 2000 and I have not seen the pool get jammed packed to where it was impossible to get chairs and etc, plus whenever I would go out there it would be in the mid mornings after breakfast and had no problems getting seats.

We are at the CR now in a garden view-garden wing room. we have a lovely view of the pool and bay lake,(sorry I can't post pictures:confused: )The room is just beautiful, very clean and the staff have been great, very helpful and friendly.

Sorry CR for life, looking out my window I can see 2 pools, the main pool with slide and the large round pool on the lake!

I can't believe someone actually designed those bathroom sinks,:sad2: but it really isn't a problem.

The CR is better than we expected. I am really happy that we chose it:thumbsup2. we have two kids (14 and 12) and they love it!

Transport so far had been fantastic, no issues at all.

You will love the CR:yay:

I appreciate your replies to all my questions, but if you don't mind I have a few more. Have you ever rented any of the watercraft, if so, does it get crazy out there on the water with everyone in those little racers? How about parasailing? done it? worth it?

Thanks so much, its nice to have a go to person to ask these questions :)

Now that you mention it there are two pools there. I guess since I spent most of my time in the main one with the slide I forgot about the 2nd one, so thanks for correcting me about that.

That I have not done, however hopefully someone else who has done this will be able to answer you're question.

Thanks for all the replies, and maybe someone has done some of the water rental stuff.

We've rented the searaycers a few times. It's much easier to get around on Bay Lake than it is on Seven Seas Lagoon. The Lagoon has a lot more Disney boat traffic than the lake. It's really important to keep an eye out for the ferry boats. You would think as big as they are you wouldn't have a problem, but there are two islands placed just right to hide them until you pop out right in front of one!:scared: I've seen so many close calls, and we would always just stop and go across the ferry lane very carefully. The waterski and parasaling area of Bay Lake is off limits and marked by buoys, so you don't have to worry about getting caught up in that. The boats are lots of fun!
