We are booked at CR standard wing for 12/6-12/11. At first I was dissappointed that I could not get WL. But know I have accepted that this is where we are suppose to be. I have a 18mos old, so this will make it really convenient with the monorail to go back and take naps.

Any advice on requests or anything we should know? We have never stayed here, so I am lost to any details. Thanks for your suggestions.

We were in the same boat, so to speak, for our trip in April/May. I wanted almost any deluxe but the CR (not crazy about the architecture/decor), but that was all that was available with the discount at the time, so we took it. Well, we had a terrific time, and although I still don't care for the aesthetics of the CR, the proximity to the MK, the view from our room, and the energy of the place were fantastic! I'm sure you'll have a terrific time!

Chef Mickey's is lots of fun for breakfast. The Concourse Steakhouse has a great breakfast, too - esp. the Sticky Mickeys (sticky buns in the shape of Mickey's head - enough for 3 or 4 to share). You'll have fun in the pools - both the themed main pool and the smaller, heated "quiet pool," which overlooks the lake. The game room (Food & Fun Center) will be more fun for your older child, but the "baby" should be mesmerized in there, too (if I am correctly assuming that the 18-month-old is in fact the younger). The Electric Water Parade (EWP) goes by on the lake at 10:05 pm (it did in May, anyway) and the kids will enjoy that also (my 5-year-old DD loves it!).

Have a great trip! :sunny:

DD4 is the oldest. Where was your room located? Was it quiet? Any specific info you could give me about location would be great. Also, you were able to see fireworks from your room? That would be great, so I could get DD18mos to sleep and let DD4 see them from our room if she is still awake. Thanks.

Well, I don't really know anything about the views from the wing rooms - the only room available for us was a tower room (beautiful view, but more $$ than we originally wanted to spend for an unplanned trip!). Hopefully someone else here can help you out with that...from what I've read, though, the wing rooms are quieter than the tower rooms because they're away from the hubbub of the main building.
